Bible ABC Mazes

October 6, 2018 By Crafty Team Leave a Comment

Sometimes you just need to add a little FUN to your Bible lessons!  Our Bible ABC Letter of the Week program is filled with fun, hands-on activities, games, and teaching resources.  Last week, we added some fun (lowercase) Bible ABC Dab and Dot Worksheets.  They were an instant hit, so if you missed that announcement, be sure to go back and check it out.

Well, today, we’ve created another fun pack of Bible ABC Dot Mazes that would compliment this (or any other letter of the week) program that you are using.

If you’re not familiar with Dab and Dot mazes, they are basically mazes in which the student dabs to follow a specific number, or in this case letter (horizontally or vertically) until they reach the end of the maze.

They are tons of fun for children of all ages and work wonderfully as hand-on learning tools in your classroom.   This particular set focuses on the uppercase alphabet.

Each worksheet features a beginning letter Bible topic (A for Angel, B for Bible, C for Cross…..etc.) and the goal to to reach the end as quickly (and as accurately) as possible.

Students might even add a little extra challenge by solving the maze with a pattern of dots along the way.  You can expand this set by using the “un-dabbed” letters as review.  For example call out, “Dab letter M with blue!”

This set includes the entire uppercase alphabet, so your kiddos are sure to have pleny of learning fun!  You can purchase this set in our TPT store here.

Bible ABC Dab & Dot Worksheets

September 28, 2018 By Crafty Team Leave a Comment

One of our best-selling curriculum notebooks is our Letter of the Week Bible ABC program.  If you haven’t yet had a chance to check it out, you’ll definitely want to head over to our eStore to view the course overview and sample pages.

One of the most common questions I get is, “When will a Kindergarten Bible ABC Program be available?”  While I do have a few planning pages in the work, it is still a long-term goal to add subsequent grade levels and (gasp) languages even.  (“Do you have this in Spanish?” is probably the next popular question.)

Anyway, my boys have been all about Dab&Dot lately with these Free Sight Word Dab and Dot worksheets I made for First Grade Mom and I got to thinking it might be fun to make some more Dab and Dot Worksheets with a Bible theme:

I’m super excited at how they turned out.  I chose to feature the lowercase alphabet alongside a beginning letter Bible picture for children to dab.  There are also letter bubbles for children to seek and dab their letter for each worksheet.

I would even encourage students to use different color daubers to complete their pictures if you have them.

This is the set of daubers we have at our house, they are nice because the ink doesn’t splatter everywhere.  They have a flat cap so you can store them upside down, and they take a little bit of priming before use (which I don’t mind at all, I prefer priming to splattering/dripping ink)

With 26 different letters, these would make a colorful display in your homeschool or classroom setting.  Give each child a letter or two, then back them with construction paper and hand them on the bulletin board. Or, print up the letters in your child’s name and have them create a colorful custom art project.  Better yet,  print up a complete set for each child in your Sunday School classroom and send them home with their very own Bible ABC book.

Read more and purchase this pack from our TPT store here.

There are lots of possibilities with this set, especially when you pair it up with our Bible ABC Curriculum Notebook.

We’d love to see your creations!  Don’t forget to TAG us on INSTAGRAM!!!

Love Bible Minibook for Kids

January 14, 2018 By Valerie Mcclintick 3 Comments

It’s almost one month before Valentine’s Day and today I’ve got a special Bible Verse minibook based on LOVE!  This printable book is based off of 1 Corinthians 13, and shows children the character quality of LOVE in action.

Print LOVE Book Here

Printing & Assembly: This printable book is available in color or black and white and is intended to be printed on both sides of the paper.  Be sure to choose double-sided, flip on the short edge in your printer settings.   If you print with color be sure to use cardstock paper as the color bleeds through.   Once printed, fold the booklet in half, and in half again (so that the cover is correct).  You can then cut the page apart or trim the top, then staple together.   (Don’t worry if that is too confusing you can just cut apart the pages, place them in order and staple together.)

Christian Christmas Symbol Printables

November 23, 2016 By Valerie Mcclintick Leave a Comment

christmassymbolsheader

christmassymbolsprintablesChristmas can be overwhelming…..and the true message of Christmas can often get lost in all the “Holiday” festivities.  On our sister site we provide many free printables that teach children about the true meaning of Christmas.  We also have snow and candy cane themes you can use to point children to Christ during the Winter activities.

Today we’ve added a new section on the website that covers Christmas Symbols and their Meanings.  This is a great way to show children that all of the activities that take place during the Christmas holiday are intended to point back to Christ and the sacrifice he made for us.

  • The Tree points to heaven and reminds us that God is eternal.
  • The Wreath is a circle and reminds us that God’s love for us is also eternal.
  • The Candle shines brightly, showing us that Jesus is the light of the World
  • The Bells ring out a celebration to announce the coming King.
  • The Baby in a manger shows the birth of the Jesus, the Lord and Savior of the world.
  • The Candy Cane is shaed like a shepherd’s staff, reminding us that Jesus is our shepherd.
  • The Star was placed in the sky for the wise men to follow.
  • The Holly is sharp like the crown of thorns, the berries are red like the blood he shed.
  • The Cross reminds us of the sacrifice that Jesus made for our sins.
  • The Presents remind us of God’s gift to the world

Christmas Bible Coloring Pages

November 20, 2015 By Valerie Mcclintick 6 Comments

ChristmasHeader

Christmas is such an amazing outreach opportunity for Children’s Ministry.

Many new students will be coming to your classrooms this Winter, and I wanted to make a few resources you can use or send home with children next month.

These are simple special reminders to children that God has created them unique, and loves them eternally. The pages are designed for little hands to color in, you might even add a little sparkle with some glitter or glitter gel pens.

There are some great books you can pair with these coloring pages if you want to make a theme in your classroom as well.

SnowflakeColoring

God Made Me Unique Snowflake Coloring Page

SnowflakeBentlySnowflake Bentley From the time he was a small boy in Vermont, Wilson Bentley saw snowflakes as small miracles. And he determined that one day his camera would capture for others the wonder of the tiny crystal. Bentley’s enthusiasm for photographing snowflakes was often misunderstood in his time, but his patience and determination revealed two important truths: no two snowflakes are alike; and each one is startlingly beautiful.

SnowmanColoring

The Spirit of God Snowman Coloring Page

FrostySnowmanFrosty the Snowman is such a beloved tale around Christmas!  Children love the magical story of a snowman come to life for a day and I thought it would be fun to make a Bible Verse coloring page you could use to tie in with this Winter story.

CandyPlacematBoy

Jesus Loves Me Candy Cane Coloring

CandyCaneThe Legend of the Candy Cane is such an amazing resource book around Christmas!  I love books and tangible objects that can point children to God and serve as a reminder of his everlasting love for them.  If you haven’t yet picked up a copy of this popular book, I highly recommend it, there is a Kindle version as well making is simple to add this book to your holiday collection.  J is for Jesus is another sweet holiday story for children that uses the candy cane to represent the gospel message.

So here are three super cute and simple teaching printables just for you:

CandyCornColoring ThanksgivingPlaceMat ThanksgivingVerseBracelet

Candy Corn Bible Coloring Page

This is a simple coloring sheet that reads, “I will fix my eyes upon Jesus!” and shows the candy corn “pointing” and looking towards the heavens.  The candy corn is three colors and can also be used to teach the trinity (3 parts one whole).  Provide children with a few candy corns for color reference :)

Thank You Jesus For….. Coloring Page

This is a great page for little hands to color in and this can easily be laminated into a Thanksgiving placemat.  Children write or dictate what they are thankful for at the bottom.

My Help Comes From the LORD Verse Bracelet

These are simple take home bracelets for children. Print and cut out in strips for children to color, then use a small piece of tape to affix them around their little wrists.  They’ll be able to take home this key reminder that we can depend on God for our needs.

Give Thanks Unto the Lord Printable Set

This is a great set for older children and includes two coloring pages and two Thanksgiving card templates.

Creation Bible Bookmarks

It seems like everywhere I look there are lots of Adult coloring pages, zentangles, and patterns for people to color in.  I think these types of printables are so popular because there is just something about coloring that is so calming and therapeutic.

Plus it’s fun.

Today I created a Creation Story Bible Bookmark for Older children (or adults) to color in.  This would make a great in class art activity (think: glitter pens) or just an open invitation for children to color when left on the dining room table.  Each day of creation is depicted as you go down the bookmark so it makes a hand Bible study tool for children as well.

Pumpkin Prayer Coloring Page

September 5, 2015 By Valerie Mcclintick 2 Comments

PumpkinPrayerPrintables
Okay, I know it’s a tad early to start posting Pumpkin themed printables, but better early than late right?

Besides, I know many of you are NOT procrastinators (like myself) and I’m sure you’re already planning for the Fall months ahead.

So here is a simple activity page that features the Pumpkin Prayer, which is a step by step carving guide for explaining the message of salvation as you cut into and decorate a pumpkin this Harvest season.  There is also a blank pumpkin for children to draw on their own pumpkin face, so these would make excellent take home items for those of you in Children’s Ministry or Daycare centers.
