Smart Start Science is a new and engaging series of Low-Prep, Hands-On experiments, and activities designed for K-2 students. This specific pack, “Scientific Method Anchor Charts” includes six posters displaying the parts of the scientific method. Both color and black and white are provided.

Scientific Method Posters
-Ask a Question “What is something you want to know?”
-Research “Find information about your question.”
-Hypothesis “Take your best guess to answer the question.”
-Test your Hypothesis “Experiment with and test your hypothesis.
-Analyze Results “Organize your data to see what it means.”
-Report “Share your data with other scientists.”

Black and White versions are provided as well.  These can be used as coloring pages, or printed onto colored paper for classroom displays.  These would be fantastic when printed smaller to make flashcards to small booklets for children to take home.

Creation Bible Bookmarks

November 1, 2015 By Valerie Mcclintick 1 Comment

CreationBookmarksHeader

It seems like everywhere I look there are lots of Adult coloring pages, zentangles, and patterns for people to color in.  I think these types of printables are so popular because there is just something about coloring that is so calming and therapeutic.

Plus it’s fun.

Today I created a Creation Story Bible Bookmark for Older children (or adults) to color in.  This would make a great in class art activity (think: glitter pens) or just an open invitation for children to color when left on the dining room table.  Each day of creation is depicted as you go down the bookmark so it makes a hand Bible study tool for children as well.

Mother’s Day Bookmarks

MothersDayBookmarks

Mother’s Day is right around the corner and I’ve whipped up some cute bookmarks children can decorate for Mom this Sunday.

There are quite a few little areas to color on this set so provide children with colored pencils, skinny markers or even glitter gel pens to decorate.

There are four different designs in this set:

Mom You’re Sweet (with Cupcake)

#1 Mom (with Butterfly)

MOM (with Heart)

I Love You (with Heart)

Solar System Coloring Pages

March 24, 2015 By Valerie Mcclintick Leave a Comment

SolarSystemWorksheetsPin

Learning about our solar system can be great fun!

One of our favorite Summer activities is Meteor watching during the Perseid showers in August.

We stay up late into the wee hours watching as amazing streaks of color flash across the sky.

It’s considered one of our yearly Family traditions and it’s a fantastic way to get the kids interested in Astronomy!

(This year it will be making it’s appearance on August 13th)

When my children were younger, we learned the names of the planets by singing a song.

And while it wasn’t a Rap song, it was still just as effective at teaching them the correct order.

My youngest two children are now ready to learn about the planets so I’ve been busy drawing and creating simple resources we can use.

ThanksgivingColoringPage

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we’ve got some adorable Bible Verse Coloring Pages and Cards you can use with your children and students this year!

If you need a simple craft you can turn these coloring pages into placemats by laminating them.  Or glue them to Fall colored construction paper and decorate the back with shiny stickers and then laminate them.

The cards are a wonderful starting point for children, they can color the outside then write what they are thankful for on the inside.
