Free Earth Day Printables: Necklace Craft for Kids

April 19, 2018 By Crafty Team Leave a Comment

Earth Day is April 22nd, and if you are looking for some fun, low-prep educational activities for your students you’ve come to the right place!  At The Crafty Classroom we believe that learning should be fun, and there is nothing more fun then making something you actually wear and take home with you!

Today, we’re featuring a fun and free Earth Day Necklace craft available at PreschoolMom.com.  This craftivity couldn’t be easier to implement in your classroom. You’ll have the option to print in color or black and white.  This is a bonus for students who don’t like color (or become frustrated with coloring smaller images).

You will need scissors, string, a hole puncher, and coloring materials.

Students color and cut out the medallions.  Help children use the hole puncher to punch holes over the greyed out circles on each medallion.  Thread the yarn through the holes to assemble the necklace and tie in the back.

By the end of this crativity, with the cutting, hole punching and threading, your students will have worked on many fine motor skills all while learning and having fun!

This is a great way to send children home with their Earth Day message, just be sure to remind them to recycle their necklaces when they are done wearing them!

Creation Bible Bookmarks

It seems like everywhere I look there are lots of Adult coloring pages, zentangles, and patterns for people to color in.  I think these types of printables are so popular because there is just something about coloring that is so calming and therapeutic.

Plus it’s fun.

Today I created a Creation Story Bible Bookmark for Older children (or adults) to color in.  This would make a great in class art activity (think: glitter pens) or just an open invitation for children to color when left on the dining room table.  Each day of creation is depicted as you go down the bookmark so it makes a hand Bible study tool for children as well.

Earth Day is right around the corner and it’s such a great opportunity to teach children that God wants us to be good stewards of the earth.

I’ve created a few coloring pages and worksheets you can use with your students to encouarge them to think of ways they can help take care of the world we live in.

Creation Bible Bookmarks

March 10, 2015 By Valerie Mcclintick 2 Comments

This month I’ve started the (LONG) process of updating my very first website Christian Preschool Printables. I’m hoping that with steady progress I can bring it into the year 2015 before it’s over :)

When ever I update a website I always look for fun ways to update our resources and printables along the way.

So today, I’ve been working on our Bible bookmarks and decided to add in some Creation Days Bookmarks.

Print Creation Day Bookmarks Here

This is a fun way to encourage children to learn the days of creation as each image features the different beings God called into existence for each day.

Best of all these print 10 per page so you can easily use these as take home memory items for your young students.

I always recommend printing on cardstock and laminating items like these so they will last.
