Christian Heroes Giveaway!

July 23, 2016 By Valerie Mcclintick 30 Comments

ChristianHeroes1

This is such an amazing resource for Christian Homeschooling Families!  Christian Heroes Then and Now is a series of books and unit studies published by YWAM Publishing and includes entertaining biographies of the life of some of the strongest fighters of the Faith.  When paired with the accompanying Unit Studies, you can easily use these for Bible, History, or Language Arts requirements.

This is actually my own personal set that I purchased at our local homeschool convention.  Before I even got the chance to use them, I found out their were audio book versions of them available on Audible and ended up purchasing those as well. (Did you know you can listen to 2 Free Books on Audible!!  Click Here.)

Anyway, we started listening to many of the stories in the car instead of using the books….so this beautiful set has sat on my homeschool shelf in brand new condition……just waiting for today!

Today, I’ve decided to give away the entire 10 book set with 10 matching unit studies.  Each of the 20 books included in this set retail for $9.99 each making this Homeschool Giveaway worth $200!!

Because the box is so large and because of increasing shipping costs, I can only send this to a winner in the 48 contiguous states.  I’m so sorry to exclude anyone from participating, most of the giveaways we offer include all the states and Canada too, so do look out for some more fun giveaway opportunities coming this Summer!

God Keeps His Promises Game

November 2, 2014 By Valerie Mcclintick Leave a Comment

GodFaithfulChildren learning about Noah’s Ark can learn an important truth that God always keeps his promises.

We have a variety of Noah’s Ark printables, crafts and resources you can add to your Sunday School Lesson, but today I wanted to add in a center time activity.

This is a game that can be placed in your learning centers or morning activity table for children just arriving or played in your own home with sibilings.

Each child receives a gameboard that reads “God keeps his promises” and has a space for each color of the rainbow.

Children take turns drawing colors from the middle hoping to be the first one to fill up their rainbow board.

If a child draws a color they already have, it’s simply discarded and the next child takes a turn.

There is even a place for children to place their favorite color.

Bible Verse Copywork

April 12, 2014 By Valerie Mcclintick Leave a Comment

ScriptureCopyworkPinI’ve been super busy lately with the launch of our new website KindergartenMom  but somehow I’ve found the time to update a few of our Bible Verse Copywork pages. I kept the scripture choices the same, but I freshened up the appearance of the copywork sheets and included room for tracing and writing the verse on blank lines.  Each page is cursive and written in the NIV version.  I’ve also combined the pages into easy download packs (Amen right?)

Bible Verse Copywork Packs

5 Thanksgiving Bible Verse Copywork

5 Prayer Bible Verse Copywork

5 Love Bible Verse Copywork

10 Commandment Bible Verse Copywork

Character Printables: Obedience

September 21, 2013 By Valerie Mcclintick 5 Comments

PinVerseEphesians

We’ve just added a great set of character printables on Christian Preschool Printables.

Children learn the Bible Verse from Ephesians 6:1,

“Children, obey your parents in the LORD, for this is right.”

Verse

Additionally, I’ve added in printables that you can use as follow up resources:

bible crafts for kids

As for me and my House Craft

Coloring

Obedience Coloring Page

Vocab

Obedience Bible Vocabulary

handwritingtracer

Putting Toys Away Worksheet

And we even have a fun file folder game on our sister site Preschool Mom that would go perfectly with this theme:

Toyland File Folder Game

These printables would be perfect for a Christian Character lesson on Obedience.
You can print this set (and more) free from our main website here.

We have a TON of different Bible Verse Sets, be sure you check them all out!

Stay tuned or Subscribe for more teaching resources!

Printable Character Chart

March 27, 2013 By Valerie Mcclintick 15 Comments

CharacterChart
Character.
It is sooooooo hard to teach.

Harder then math. Harder then science.
Definitely harder then P.E.

Character is on my TOP list of reasons why I homeschool.
Character is a teach by example sort of subject.

(ouch)

Can I just say without any reserve that the Character has been lacking around here lately.

(yes….I do realize what I’m admitting to here.)

And more honestly,
our house has turned upside down with more Negative then Positive reinforcement lately.

Obviously, that is not going to work for very long.

So in an effort to turn things on the positive,
I made these little Character Charts:

I put the children’s names on them, and then surrounded them with positive behaviors
and virtues that (I’m hoping) we will see through out the week.

HOW IT WORKS:
The charts will hang up in the classroom where everyone has access to them.
They are meant to be colored in, one letter at a time,
when the child displays that positive character trait.

So anytime anyone sees Charlie being peaceful they would color
in one letter of the word peaceful.
Make sense?

RULES:
You can’t fill in your own letters
You can’t persuade anyone to fill in a letter for you.
Try your best to SECRETLY fill in a letter for others, don’t let them see you!

Younger Siblings Rule:
When you catch the babies/tot doing good, PRAISE, PRAISE, PRAISE them by naming the character trait and walking them over to fill in the letter.

I’m hoping my children will get excited to see the new colored in letters each day.
Maybe discussions of, “Hmmm, I wonder what I got that being peaceful letter for?”
or “Boy, I don’t have any helpful letters….”

I’m sure by the end of the month we will all know what character traits we are struggling with.

Even Mommy.

Yup. Giving myself the letter “b” for that move.

Wish me luck!
