| This is a fun Mayflower craft children can make when learning about American History. |
| Step 1 Paint or color the first paper plate blue. This will be the background. |
| Once dry, staple the bottom of the boat to the blue plate so that it forms a pocket. |
| Step 3 Paint or color the OUTSIDE bottom half brown |

| Cut your second paper plate like the picture above. The bottom half will be for the ship, the top two pieces are for the sails. |









| Step 5 Staple the larger sail to the top of the popsicle stick. |
| Step 6 Staple the smaller sail onto the popsicle stick just under the larger one. |
| Step 7 Staple the popsicle stick to the bottom of the boat. |
| All Done! The boat forms a pocket shape. If you want to expand the lesson, then let children put in various items that were on the Mayflower. |
