Scripture Art
Ever since the kiddos saw my new watercolor set,
they’ve been dying to dig into the bright colors and try them out!
And since the weather has been dreary all week,
I decided that it would be a great time to really bring out the color.
(Inspiration via: this great lesson in our Artistic Pursuits curriculum,)
We practiced blending across the page, lots of water and lots of overlapping.
Then (I) we cut out black construction paper eagles,
from a template that I made.
Then using the free printable paper over at Donna Young,
I had the kiddos copy Psalm 63:7 which reads:
“Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.”
When they were finished, we stood back and saw how stunning they were!
Something worthy of prime real-estate in our classroom gallery!

I absolutely LOVE this!!! So beautiful! :) I definitely want to use this lesson in my classroom. Can you tell me what brand or name of the watercolors you used? Thank you for sharing! :)
Beautiful! I am definitely stealing this one! Even my 3 yr old can do this, minus the copywork :)
