This is a fantastic Play Dough Recipe that you can use to make so very soft and long lasting play dough. Best of all, you get to control the colors with the amount of food coloring you put in. This amount of clay was made with the specific recipe.
Materials:
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1/2 Cup Salt
- 4 Tablespoons Cream of Tartar
- 2 Cups Boiling Water
- 2 Tablespoons Cooking Oil
- Food Coloring
Step 1
First mix your dry ingredients in a bowl (You can double or triple this recipe to suit your needs)
Step 2
Pour in your oil and your boiling water. TIP: Pour it in the bowl and you won’t have a pan to clean up!
Step 3
Use a spatula to bring the dough together into a ball.
Step 4
Add in your Food Coloring. This is where you get to mix it in….I’m not going for red hands today so I’m using my spatula to blend.
Step 5
Blend in additional colors to make your dough just the right hue
Step 6
As the dough sets it will take on more of the color of the dye. Store it in an airtight container.
Step 7
