Character of God

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.  James 1:17

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Numbers 23:19

As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. Psalm 18:30

10 Commandments

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3

Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I [am] the LORD. Leviticus 22:31

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.  Matthew 5:17-22

Love of God 

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:18-19

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. 1 Corinthians 13:13

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

Love of Neighbor

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  John 12:12-13

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 1 John 4:7

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Luke 6:35

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrew 13:2
