Styrafoam Ball (cut in half)
Paint (glow in the dark!)
Fishing Line or Dental Floss
Exploring Space is lots of fun!  And we love any reason to get out our Glow-in-the-Dark paints!  Use our space crafts in
your classroom or homeschool as you teach children about the different heavenly bodies, and remind them how
beautiful God's creations are!

something so spectacular, and it opens up
discussions on God's marvelous creation.
Ringed Planet Craft for Kids
Inflatable Solar System
Grades K - 6. This inflatable classroom
set helps children understand the size
and distance relationships of the solar
system, while learning about rotation,
Step 1
Get a styrofoam ball and choose an
old CD that you no longer need.
Step 2
Slice your ball in half with a
knife....be careful, this is kind of
Step 3
Use you're Glow in the Dark paint
to add colors all around the planet.
Remind children why planets are
different colors.
Step 4
Paint both sides of your CD with
paint.
All Done!
Glue your two halves to the cd, and
you've got a fun planet you can
hang in your room.  Using a needle
and fishing wire to make it look like
it's hanging in the air.
