Children love sorting sea shells. Simply sorting them by shape makes a great activity for preschool aged children and the older ones love to learn the different names of all the shells. I found so many different “names” for the shells, you’re welcome to change them as needed. If you live near a beach you can certainly find your shells on an afternoon stroll, or by taking a quick visit to a souvenir shop. If not, you might take a peek at the sea shell sets available online, just be sure you figure out what size and what variety you’ll be getting first. You might even enjoy these miniture sea shells, I think they are adorable!

Hi, Can you send me the seashell sorting cards. I teach kindergarten in Passaic, Nj to ELL students and they are becoming obsessed with the seashells in class. I would love this resource to add to our science center. Thanks
