Nevertheless, here are our 2012 Curriculum Choices.
This is a bit long because I have them attached to our goals for the year.
I have found that writing GOALS and ACTION plans help me to see how we will
be putting the resources to work on a daily basis.
If you’re just interested in WHAT we are using, look for the RESOURCES

Bible Study
Goals:
• BUILD CHARACTER (honestly my biggest goal every year…..for me too)

In Action:
Each week children will attend Sunday School and Awana programs. On Monday children will review their Sunday School lesson and complete any take home sheets. Bub will work on his LifePac through out the week, Sissy will complete her bible study by Friday.

Day 3: Study and Recite Awana Verse with no help.

In Action:
Children will complete one math lesson each day. Sissy will begin to use a graph paper notebook to record answers.

They will be responsible for one journal entry in their nature journal each week. Entries can be a drawing, photgraph, description, poem, story, list, rubbing…ect.

Social Studies
Goals:
It’s an election year!
We’ll learn about branches of government, process of election, voting, the constitution and more.
Know some key Presidents and contributions, Sissy can begin to learn them all.

Each week, children will complete one art lesson from their Artpac at their own leisure. Through out the year, I will bring in a few short Art History lessons with a corresponding project.
