My children were thrilled to learn that there was a way to make an actual boomerang that when thrown, would return to it’s owner! We had a blast designing these with Aboriginal symbols too

make your boomerangs. I made
them ahead of time because of the
intricate folding. Check out some Aboriginal Symbols.
Encourage older children to come up
with their own symbols and meanings
as well. Fill up your boomerang with lots of symbols and bright colors Time to test them out, be sure to
show children how throw them
correctly so that they return!
