I hang paintings, drawings, etc. on my kitchen cabinets, sculpture type projects go either on a shelf or the fireplace mantle.
Our finished art projects either go on the fridge for all to see, or are displayed in our living room for a time. I usually also either photograph it or scan it into my computer so I have a digital record of it.
I shared on Twitter:

I’m assuming we comment here? Most of my kid finished art projects get scanned into my computer for either a photo book for safe keeping or to print out as postcards and gifts for family members. My mom is an art teacher and LOVES to receive my kids artwork in various forms. Thanks for the entry!
Daniel’s art goes first on the fridge, various doors in the kitchen or in his room. then the really nice stuff goes into some frames that have hinged fronts (so they can be changed out). if the work is school related (like for science or social studies) then we keep the very best and photograph the rest. it does add up, tho, doesnt it? :-)

Some of the artwork goes on the fridge. Some of the artwork gets framed and is hanging in the entryway. The rest goes into a scrapbook/album.
We have had to get creative with how we use our art projects because it is so much a part of our everyday life! :) We have used some of them to give as gifts, some to hang on the wall in our home and some we’ve had to take pictures of because we just can’t possibly keep them all! :) Some of them have been used to make other things (like packround paper for scrapbooking) and some are of course adorning my fridge! :)
On my wishlist is Apologia science books and notebooks/journals. I would love to be able to get one of the lab kits that goes with them as well.
I’d also like to get a good art curriculum so this Mike’s Inspiration would be great!
I hanf my children’s artwork in the kitchen, the room we are in the most or I have it framed and hanging in our classroom.
PS. Valerie, you have some wonderful homeschooling ideas! Love your web
site!!!

We make portfolios of past schoolwork and art work. For current work, we have a “clothesline” stretched across our school room where we hang art projects.
I tweeted also.
(And Mystery of History is always on my wish list as well.)
Sculpted work, or 3 dimensional work like homemade mountains, cabins, sugar cube castles…all gets displayed and then saved in the garage. Anything I can hang gets hung in our school room. I have artwork surrounded me now and it makes me happy :)
We hang art projects on the fridge or bulletin board for a while. When it gets too cluttered, I go through them and throw them away. If they are special, I take a picture of them. Some pictures also get tapped to our basement wall as decoration. We have an unfinished basement, so random artwork looks nice in our play area.
I’m collecting it all in boxes – not my best solution but it’s what works for us right now!
We hang most up on a wire in our homeschool room. 3D stuff I let them keep in their room until they’re ready to part with it. I do take a picture of most things and place in their portfolio.
Our art projects are displayed on the wall for a while, then they go into either recycling or trash.
All of Mystery of History Vol I (book, activity guide, audio cd’s) are on my wishlist for later this year or next.
We display their art temporarily on the wall or the fridge, and then later save those really special ones in a file or their “special box”.
First, they go on the fridge for a while, then I tuck them away into their keepsake boxes.
This set looks awesome…I would love a chance at it. My kids love following directions and drawing from the DVD’s…I think I must get these!! They like keeping all their drawings in a sketch book. It is a great, created, heirloom to keep.
My daughter’s artwork goes up on the wall. we have a wall dedicated for the school year and every piece is hung. It’s fun to look at the progress and hear/see her stories. Best wallpaper ever!!
We do a variety of different things with art projects in our home – either we scrapbook them, photograph them, share them with grandparents or hang them up. The exceptional ones are stored away in keepsake boxes.
Our homeschool wishlist is long.. from Mystery of History is one we will definately put onto the acquired list one day.
I display my children’s art above the window in our kitchen for one week, after that I put them in a storage tote and replace with the new one. For crafts they make at Sunday school, we keep those in a basket in our living room and each day of the week we look at them again and go over the story they represent briefly, then when they bring new papers home the next weekend, we put the previous ones in a 3″ binder ( I have one for each of them) and they frequently look through their binder telling the stories to their siblings and remembering. They love it.
We want the picture smart Bible.
Artwork that is something I want to keep goes into a file. Many times we just have too much to keep, so it is displayed for a while and then discarded. I have a friend who takes pictures of all the artwork and makes a scrapbook. That’s something I’d like to do – someday! ;)
My children’s finished art work either go on the wall in the living or get taken to their Grandfather to hang on his wall at his nursing home. He gets so happy receiving and showing of their artwork.
I have several nice frames that I change out the artwork a few times a year. The kids are so proud to have their artwork displayed throughout our home;)
We have on the fridge a little while, but it usually is in their art notebook (3-ring binder/plastic sheets). Sometimes in their memory book.
Their art gets put up on the wall, on doors, on the mantlepiece above the fire, in folders and in the bin (if they hate it lol).

We hang them up and at the end of the year make a book for each child
I tweeted https://twitter.com/Sarah_Keery/status/255369150736773121
We’d love to have the Pecture Smart bible in our homeschool.
Thank you for this giveaway! I like to put my children’s artwork in scrapbooks, take photos for large projects, and keep in keepsake boxes.
Lots go into the trash, some we hang, some we take digital photos of to preserve.
Finished artwork goes into the school binders that I keep each year. Great to look back on in the future.
I want another Apologia Exploring Creation text, I think Zoology.
We have an art wall downstairs where we hang our little one’s art. We rotate in new projects and the old ones get given to family.
Depending on the project. Some are gifts for family, some are kept in a portfolio, all are photographed and kept in a scrapbook with other hs activities. This product would be awesome for my 10 year old budding artist
On my wish list is Apologia Human Body, elementary series. It is the only one I have yet to purchase :) along with the student notebooks
I take a picture of ALL of their artwork {but save a couple of each for their portfolios}. I then have an album plus online collage of all their saved work.
I love the geometric stacker. It’s on my wishlist. Thanks!
Well we might enter some in the fair during the summer and show them off at home of course.
We put pictures our daughter paints and draws on the refrigerator or walls.
We hand our children’s art work where ever we can find space. On the desk, in our school room, on their bedroom doors, and on the fridge.
I save any really special one,s and take pictures of the rest for a photo album at the end of the year! Thank you.
I would love to have the Tales from Shakespeare Study Guide as my daughter is reading through that book right now.
I shared the link on my facebook as well as a homeschool group page.
We display them for a while. “Special” ones are put away to save.
Sometimes I display some of my kids’ art in different places in our kitchen for a while. Eventually most of it goes in a notebook I make for them for each school year.
We would love to have the AIG God’s Design series for Science!

With 6 kiddos, there’s no way I could reasonably keep, store, or display them all.
They each have art books with paintable weight paper to make pictures & such.
They do many things with them. They keep some for their own enjoyment, give some as gifts, enter some in contests & fairs, & use some to decorate their room spaces (bed cubbies).
With 5 children over the past 19+ yrs. there is no way to save everything. Especially when you have an artist in the house my, 19 yr old is pursuing an art degree & over the yrs. has had too many drawings to keep. I have kept some of their special papers in a memory box, my 2 who draw alot keep their own portfolio.
All my kids’ art ends up covering the fridge :)
We have the Fitness 4 Homeschool & the Mikes Inspiration Station on our wish list! :)
This is what I shared on Facebook:

Right now I need Grammar for my oldest so I’d like to try Applications of Grammar grades 7-9 (Student, teacher, & test books for 1 grade are about$25) My second needs math & I like the available items, but haven’t decided. My third needs a better 4th grade math workbook or full curric. so I’ll look at that later.
My wish list from Hearts at home curriculum is this art instruction DVD set by Mike’s inspiration station & Apologia Science Exploring Creation books.
Fridge! I’d really like to make one of the awesome art displays floating around Pinterest though.

I keep them on display on the counter and shelf for a while…but we take pictures of them and then put the picture in the appropriate notebook (History,Science etc.)
we display some, keep some and take pictures of most of them before we share them with family or friends or discard them.
I display them in our hallways and on their bedroom doors and then put them into a 3 ring binder with this years book work.
I display them on one of our bulletin boards or the fridge. After a couple weeks I take a picture of them if they are big and then toss. If they are small I file them in their portfolios.
I have been looking at this Art DVD for awhile. I would love to win it. If I don’t it is definitely on my wishlist!

We save what will fit in a 3 ring binder. If they really want to save it and it’s bigger, each child has a box in the basement.
I display finished drawings and paintings in the kitchen and dining room. I save some of my favorites indefinitely, and take pictures of some before changing our displays.

I try to keep several in a binder after they have hung on the refrigerator for a while. Three of my daughter’s BEST pieces hang in our computer room as our only art. I love looking at them! <3
On my Hearts at Home wish list is AIG Ancient Civilizations and the Bible.
We hang some on the refrigerator, put them on the dining room hutch for all to see, we even scan pictures of them to send to Grammy! Then we take the projects that fit in a folder or pics of the ones that don’t and add them to our school year binder as a keepsake.
If I didn’t win or purchase this art curriculum, I like the looks of the How Great Thou Art series, too! Our wishlist also has some Apologia junior journaling notebooks.
I posted on FB also!

I have a long string hanging over the top of our school room. I pin them up there with mini cloths pins. There is usually enough room to keep them up for a whole semester.
I have anything from Queen Homeschool on my wishlist, I love their products! I’ve also been wanting to try the Mystery of History by Bright Ideas Press, I’ve heard a lot of good things about it.
I took pictures and made a special art photo book. Some of the special ones that my son made will go into display art. Thanks for the giveaway.
Big stuff gets hung up in his room as per the lad’s request, small stuff gets put into a binder so we can look through it at our leisure and it doesn’t get damaged. (damage is NOT a good thing)
It first goes on the fridge, then favorites are chosen and placed in a storage container for later in life. Some are also shared with Grandma and Grandpa, of course!
tweeted.
see https://twitter.com/athomepets/status/255401431224442881
put it up on facebook as well.
We keep some of it in bins labeled by the school year. Some gets put up in their rooms for a while. Whatever we don’t keep, we take digital photos.
I’m waiting to buy Apologia’s Exploring Creation with… Zoology 3 and Human Anatomy!

Often our art goes up on the walls to enjoy for a while. Then, the kids each have a box for school memories. They can keep what fits in the box. Hopefully this is a system we can maintain! These DVD’s sound great!
We have art all over the house! Most things go on shelves or the fridge. When its time to switch it out, we have boxes to save some of it.
I shared this on facebook
I would love to have All American History Vol.1
World God Made (Grd K Student) is at the top of my wish list, but I think the ART DVDs may nudge it out of first place!
My kids’ artwork goes on the fridge and on our art bulletin board. I take a picture of the bulletin board before I take things down to make room for the newest works. I keep some things to remember this special time of so many creations. I also mail some of their work to out of town grandparents.
Our artwork goes on the fridge for awhile, or with Dad to work. Seasonal artwork gets put up, taken down, and saved for next year. I keep our favorite pieces in a box for each schoolyear so that I can look back in the years to come and remember what we did.
We keep a scrapbook for our school year and our scouting activities. Some art is kept there or pictures of the craft. Sometimes they are on display in the house. Depends on what the craft is.
I wish that I could say that I had some phenomenal way of displaying my children’s artwork, but I just put them in a box for them to sort through when they get older.
I hang paintings in our school room. I also take pictures of to ‘save’ the ones I can’t hang.
On the Hearts at Home website, I would love the US History timeline.
I shared the giveaway on Facebook.
I keep drawings in a book with plastic pockets. Some projects are hanging on the walls around the house or displayed on table tops. Sometimes we take photos and use them as desktop backgrounds.
We have a frame on the fridge that we put the art when it’s first done, then we have and art folder where we keep them.
I liked Hearts at Home on Facebook.
We like hearts at home on FB.
We put some art work on the fridge, store some in a large 3 ring binder, and take pictures of really large projects that we can’t keep.
Our finished art projects are hung around our school room and on our frig. Then we have a binder that the best go in after they come off the wall :)
My wishlist includes Bright Ideas The Young Scholars Guide to Composers and Critical Thinking Company’s Building Critical Thinking for Pre-K and 2nd grade.

Memoria Press!! That has been on my list for some time now.
We have an art wall with boards with clips that we hang the kids’ art on.
If we have a favorite piece of art, we scan it or take a picture of it so I can put it in their school “yearbook”.
We put artwork on the refridgerator and take pictures of it. The best items are filed in their “memory boxes.”
On my wish list is the “States & Capitals CD,” and also the “Timeline of Classical Music.”

We take pictures and love to show off my daughter’s artwork. Some of it gets hung on the walls, and some gets filed away.
We display our art all over the house! Liked on facebook. Thanks!
My kids have been begging for this, just not in our budget yet. We’d love to win;)
I hole punch the 2d ones and put them in a binder. I take pictures of the 3d ones and post them on the internet.

I save it through the season and once a month have a little art show. The kids have to name each piece and write a little about it(if possible) Then they choose which one of the season they want to stash (in their plastic art tub) and which they choose to give to someone special. (sometimes I keep additional things that I think are going to show them growth in their skills. The tubs are labeled and stacked in the art closet.
I have this pallet shelf a crafty friend made for me with large frames sitting on it. Inside the frames are clips where we hang our really special, took a long time to create, we did our best artwork. All the other artwork goes on the fridge, inside cabinet doors (it is like an art gallery in my cabinets), some eventually goes in the trash, and some favorites eventually go into a drawer that specifically holds memorable artwork/stories.
There are sooo many pieces being produced daily in our home, that we ‘recyle’ them into birthday/friendship/thinking of you cards or gifts. Each quarter we all sit down to select TWO each of the 3D pieces that are perfect for our home, these replace the last quarters ones. The old ones get photographed (and displayed on facebook) and donated to a poor school in our area along with those that did not pass the home decor approval for the quarter. We used to have family-friend auctions quarterly but found that donating yielded better results in our kids. However at the end of the year we make special projects to auction for our “Operation Chirstmas Child” fundraising.
Love Hearts at Home, especially their latest post —
Mandie!
Hi there – I have been wanting to see what this art DVD set is like for some time now. All of our children love the arts and our 3rd, Joshua, loves to save his “artwork” in a big envelope. In the past I have had the kids distribute their drawings to the residents at a Nursing Home where we served. However, Joshua can’t seem to part with any of his drawings. Would love to win the art dvds! :)
PINed it, thanks for such a great offer.

We keep them for a while, and then sort them out. The outstanding examples are kept in their personal totes, and the others we generally throw away.
I’ve been wanting Balancing the Sword for a long time, and it’s on their site!
I try to display and then they get filed away for a “someday” project. I have also sent some to faraway relatives to enjoy :)
We display some artwork – either by temporarily displaying it on our patio doors or more permanently in frames. We also have a big box in the basement with more that we have saved long-term. I also photograph some of the works to keep it in that way.

My wishlist includes 1) these art videos because we have no art program in our homeschool 2)We Choose Virtues because I have been drooling over those 3)One of the Apologia science books/notebooks because we are loving their anatomy this year.
I take pictures of them, transfer them onto fabric transfers and make them into a quilt to for their grandmas Christmas gift.
Before putting the artwork up for display at home or giving it away as a gift to a grandparent or aunt, I take pictures of it an keep those pictures in an album on the computer. This makes getting rid of a much loved piece a little easier.
I have most of the apologia books on my wishlist. I LOVE their science notebooks that go with the books.
With our kids art we have it in a three ring binder with page protectors. I have also hung some of it up in their rooms. =0)
I put them up on kitchen cabinets and then file them away or frame them.
I would like the progeny press Anne of Green Gable study guide on the website.

I have hung a long string over the top of our school room. The children’s art work is displayed using mini clothes pins. There is usually enough room for a semesters worth.

I have a file box for each child. Each year, I take all of their portfolio info, and artworks and seal them up in an XL Ziploc bag. The bag gets labeled with the grade & school year, and packed in the box. :)
I have the Apologia Astronomy Curriculum on my wishlist :)
We have frames set up in our livingroom/classroom that await artwork. They are hanging on the wall in gallery style. As each flat art piece is finished, they go into the frames and hang there all year to be ‘oohed’ and ‘aahed’ over. Then, as we prepare for the next school year, those are slipped into notebooks for safe keeping.
3D projects are placed on display shelves for viewing! Our children LOVE to see their work out to brag on!
I have a homeschool amoir I keep all their all their art papers in.
