New this year to our home will be Apologia General Science! A review for you: Teaching Textbooks is highly desirable. My kids actually say they love math now; it’s fun! It’s not just a person standing there giving instruction, it’s problems being worked out step by step on the screen. The kids can see the work being done just as if someone were writing out each step for them on a white board.

Yes, my mind is whirling at the thought of a $75.00 gift card. We have already been looking at several new things for the year. This will be the start of our 20th year home schooling our children. One thing I have never used is the Wordly Wise 3000 and the Writing Strands. I have been bouncing them around for quite some time now. I have a 4th grader that really struggles with her spelling and writing. Copywork is fine, but own her own is a struggle, so these two are something we might give a try this year. As for the other products listed above we use them already and highly recommend them. We LOVE Mystery of History. Thanks for the chance to win, Blessings

I purchased the Apologia Science books from Hearts at Home website and have very pleased with it. I am using it with two children on two different levels (K & 4th) and find that the Junior Notebook has things for both. I have been extremely satisfied with the orders I have place at H-at-H. Their prices couldn’t be beat even when using coupons on other sites.

I also just ordered another copy of Apologia Biology to do with my 10th grader. I thought this curriculum was great when my son and I did it 2 years ago. I loaned out my book and never got it back, so rather than borrow one from a friend I decided to buy a new copy. It is great to have as a reference for so many of those creation vs. evolution conversations that seem to come up!

We will be trying out almost the whole 7th grade curriculum from Liberty Press as we were given almost everything. It will be interesting to use “traditional” books when I’ve been using mix and match books combined with my own creations. I don’t like the lack of good reading books, though so I am still in search of some age and reading appropriate living books for my daughter to read.
