Well I must admit I didn’t find all these at one Thrift store. I’ve been collecting them ever since I saw this post, and been storing them up for a fun project.
For the lot of them I paid $11. You can find them cheaper I bet if you collect long enough or find a good “freebie” box, but I’ve really been wanting to get started on this, so I forked over a little more change.
I will say that when you’re looking for frames to “Shabby” up, try and find ones with deep grooves and decorative edges, and maybe pick some different sizes. I’m no expert…JMHO.
So first I sprayed them with this stuff:
Then I used some glaze:
When they dried, I filled them with pretty scrapbook paper (KC Company from Micheal’s):
And here is how they look in my entry way:
Pssst…..Everything in this photo came from Goodwill or a garage sale
(Total Cost: $45)
I’m Thrilled!!
I love it!! Can’t wait to see it in person. I never knew you were so talented! :)
ooooooooooooooh, those are fantastic! Can you come over and help me do my house?!!
Simple and so beautiful! A real inspiration!
I think it is charming but wouldn’t pillows be better so people can sit and take off their shoes? I really like the frame ide I am going to try it in my bedroom.
Oooh, I didn’t even think of pillows, a new sewing project…..I think I love you!
