Pop-Up Nativity & Talking Jesus Giveaway!
But I wanted to make sure that you’d get these in time to use them for the month of December so I decided to have the giveaway in November!

I have two sets of these to give away!
So two people will each get a Pop-Up Nativity set, and a Talking Jesus toy.
(Those are the closest links I could find for them, they’re not exact but very close, sorry.)
Anyway, the nativity set is really neat, you press out all of the different characters and buildings to created your own nativity.

This would be fantastic for children who are learning about the nativity story, and can handle them.
(My three year old would tear them to pieces, I’m sure!)
When you’re finished the set will look something like this:

The talking Jesus toy is also really neat! We have this at home ourselves, and my son can literally repeat verbatim what Jesus says. It’s nice because he says a few different verses as well.

I think he’s quite handsome too, but that’s me
and I’m partial to bearded men
;) luv ya hun!
Anyway, here’s how to enter:

The best gift I ever received was my 4th granddaughter on Dec 12
A little early, but still a wonderful gift!
My favorite Christmas toy was either my bike at age 10 or my pink bear at age 4.
When I was about 13 I was hooked on the Nancy Drew series. Every week I saved up my money to be able to buy one new book. For Christmas that year I received a huge box, very heavy. When I opened it, it contained the entire rest of the series, over 30 books that I had not yet read. I was thrilled! I read every single one of them during the rest of my Christmas vacation!
would love to join your group
My favorite Christmas gift was a Blue Topaz ring my parents gave me when I was about 12 years old. I still treasure it today :)

The best Christmas gift I ever got was my dad – he showed up last Chrismas at my family Christmas – he lives in South Carolina and I live in Alberta, Canada. I was told he couldn’t make it and when I got to my uncles he popped out of no where – I cried like a baby and was stuck to him like glue! I will always be a daddy’s girl!
The best Christmas presents I have gotten are the homemade ones from my children.
The best present I ever received was my Cricket doll who would and sing to me I was probably 8 years old. The best gift I ever gave was a new wedding band to my husband… he works in construction and painting and busted the original one.

The favorite gift I have given was a pyx I purchased while in Rome
last year (given to my mother who serves as a Eucharistic Visitation Minister)
My favorite Christmas gift was a Degu cage my husband built for me. It was really sweet of him to put all of that thought and work into a gift for me.
The best Christmas gift I ever recieved was Christmas morning 1993 when we could not afford any gifts for our child and we got a call late Christmas Eve evenig from a charity telling me and my husband that there were some gifts for us to pick up for our children. The children didn’t know we recieved the call, they were already in bed. Our little tree was decorated but there were no gifts under it when they went to bed. The best gift was seeing all of thier faces Christmas morning when they came out and saw some gifts under the tree. God had truly provided for them that morning.

I was married on Christmas Eve 1984. My favorite Christmas gift is 25 years of love, friendship, and laughter.
My favorite gift was a trench coat from my mom and dad when I was a teen. I can still remember the feeling of opening that gift and how I wore it around the house all day long. My favorite gift I ever gave was a crocheted doily I made and framed for my sweet grandmother. Thanks!
I remember when I was 10 and my mom ordered a Paddington Bear from England for me…I was so curious about what I was getting that I snuck around looking for it. I will never forget how disappointed I was to find it and have ruined the surprise. I still have the bear, although I have lost his boots and coat.
My Mother-in-Laws sister had just got her an apartment and didn’t have very much, so I gave her a lamp, broom, plastic trash can, and a few other knick Knacks and the look on her face was priceless. Such gratitude she had for those few gifts. I also subscribe by email.

Rice Bags, Bath and Body Baskets, Personalized Stationery, Framed Scrapbook Layouts, Bird Houses, Cookies and Cocoa with Snowman Kits. Your email subscriptions has been a blessing as we raise our little ones up to be Children of God. Peace and Joy from our home to yours…
The best gift I ever received was a handmade card that my daughter Sarah made for me last year. The front was a picture of Mary and Jesus that she colored and inside she drew an “angel heart” and wrote “I believe in you.” You can see pictures on my blog here: http://3stairs.com/2008/12/25/best-christmas-gift-ever/. I’m not sure that will ever be topped in my book. :D
My favorite gift received was a Holly Hobbie doll as a child. I didn’t even know who Holly Hobbie was, but I slept with her every night until I was grown and ready to get married. As an only child she was my confidant, tear collector, and toddler when I played “Mommy.”
My favorite gifts to give are the ones I know someone will love that I have in some way put together or made myself. There is just something special about putting your time and effort into something you give to those you love.
I subscribe to the email as well.
Well, I would like to say that it was Jesus (I guess ultimately that is what we all would say), but I guess maybe that is a given, besides the fact that it didn’t happen @ Christmastime.
Okay, I know this might sound strange, but the very best Christmas gift I have ever received came straight from the Lord. My mom was dying that fall (she actually died on 12/2/00). It was such a blessing to be able to spend her last days with her and prepare a very special memorial service, since we were aware somewhat of the timing her eventual passing away, as opposed to her dying very suddenly. Many people don’t get that chance and I will always be grateful that we were given such a blessed gift.
If are asking for something “material”, I do recall one year when I was quite young. I REALLY wanted a rose because I had never received one. My brother bought it for me that Christmas and it is probably the gift I remember most.

2. My favorite Christmas was last year when our 27month oldson was placed in our arms. I was on a mission trip with our daughter when he was10 mos old when I first held him. Everyone said no way- but God said yes way! He placed people in our path to bring our son home. It was amazing to watch Him work it all out! Then to bring us home from China just in time to celebrate with all our children the holiday was a blessing and the best gift. Yes, that has been the best Christmas ever!!

my favourite christmas present when I was 10 years old,my mom friends give me and my sister each a box full of school supplies ( book, pencil, eraser, etc)
I was really happy because that the best stuff i ever have (i still keep the stuff until today)
I never been happier when i can buy a christmas gift for my sister a ring before she move.
I have had two favorite Christmas gifts. The first was when I was about 7. It was a pot-belly-bear (an overstuffed teddy bear) I remember seeing it when my mom brought it home and fell instantly in love with it. She said it was for my cousin and I couldn’t believe how unloved I felt everytime I thought about it. Then on christmas morning opening up an unusual box and finding it inside, well, I almost cried. I loved that bear for years!
The second was the gift my grandmother always sent me. Never fail it was always the same thing…pajamas. On Christmas Eve my parents allowed us to choose one gift under the tree to open before bed. I always choose my grandmothers. Once in a while there would be a little something extra (diary, purfume, slippers) but it didn’t matter because I loved waking up in her pajamas. When my grandmother passed on and Christmas came I felt a huge loss in not having her pajamas under the tree. Now that I have kids of my own they always get pajamas on Christmas Eve. This years are handmade just like my grandmother had sent me for so many years.

The best Christmas present I have ever received was a beautiful Ibanez guitar in light colored exotic wood. My two children and my husband saved money for this. Right before Christmas they made a trip to the guitar store and picked it out for me. I cried when I opened the box. My daughter said, “Mama if you don’t like the color we can return it for a different one.” I told her I would not even think of exchanging it because they chose it. I will treasure my guitar for as long as I have breath.
The best chrismas present I ever got is my son!! After having many miscarriages and a sill born {eric } the bes present i managed to give is my son as he was so worh he wait. he smiles on my families faces made everything worhwhile !!!
My most memorable present was when I was 3 or 4 years old. I was given a tiny bottle of violet scented perfume and my mum used to dab a bit on my hankie for church on Sundays. Then one day I went and broke the bottle, spilling the perfume everywhere, and was horribly upset. However, a wise old friend quickly got my Sunday hankie and mopped up the spilled perfume with it. I never washed the hankie so I got to smell the perfume for months afterwards. (Needless to say I didn’t use the hankie – it was just for show! :D). BTW, I subscribe by email to Lapbook Lessons but not to your blog specifically. Does that count? :D
We were quite poor when I was a child, so it was a huge gift for me when a cheap set of a tiny doll+cot+bathtub+feeding accessories were given to me when I was 10. I still have it and hope to pass it on to my daughter when she is about 10. She si four now:-)

My favorite Christmas gift was the dollhouse my Dad built for me when I was 7. It was two stories with pink wooden siding and rows of little grey shingles on the roof. It had white window boxess, a balcony, and my mom put wallpaper and carpet on the inside. It also came furnished. That was pretty much all I played with for about 2 years. Do nine-year-olds play with dolls these days? I know I did.
My favorite Christmas gift was my daughter who came home from the hospital on the 25,

My favorite gift was a record for my record player. It had all the songs from “Mary Poppins”.
An unsurpassed gift around Christmas time is the reminder and knowledge of a loving Saviour whose birth we celebrate at this particular time of the year.
How awesome to hear the “old, old story” and feel the Spirit testify that indeed this was a miracle that had taken place when Jesus was born. Without His birth there would be no beautiful teachings to guide us or a hope in the Resurrection.
However, as we sometimes get excited about the Festive Season and its material trappings, we must remind ourselves of the real meaning of Christmas and never cease to be amazed as to how great the Love of God is for us.
The birth of Jesus is the greatest gift of all because HE taught us the real meaning of LOVE.
Love is the gift I get each and every Christmas without fail, in abundance from God.
Jesus is the Reason for the Season
Thanks and God Bless to All.

The favorite toy that I gave or received…?
In 1997, I gave birth to our daughter (first and only in a family of four kids) on Dec 19th. It was a gift from God – literally… We took a picture of her amidst the Christmas gifts that year. She is truly a blessing to us.
As for real toys… Since a few years Playmobil is part of our life. Other ones would be LEGO and K*Nex. One year I got K*Nex box (UNOPENED) at a Value Village (second Hand Store in Canada). That month was get 50% off when you buy for 100%. The guy had punched all the other products properly and somehow, he made an error on that one which was the last item. A long line of people behind me. The only way to correct it would have been to cancel the invoice and restart. He let it to the price he punched minus 50%… which means I got it for 2.5 insteand of 12.50… !!! This K*Nex was to build a remote control car (three models). You should have seen the eyes of my oldest when he opened the gitf. Priceless!
1. My favorite Christmas gift was when I was about 3 yrs old. My parents were making all our gifts that year, as we didn’t have any extra money. My mom was sewing a doll for my little sister, and I knew about it. I didn’t realize that she was also sewing a doll for me, and carried my doll’s head around saying “Tatie’s (Katie’s) getting a dolly and I’m not.” My dad also let me help sand the pieces for a doll cradle that I also didn’t realize was for me!

The best Christmas ever was when I was eight. My mother didn’t buy me anything because I knew about Santa. My grandmother took me downtown Detroit and said get what you want. I picked out a new doll. She got me a coat with matching hat and mittens.

My favorite toy I ever got was when I was 8. I got a Betsie Wetsie Doll. That is all I wanted & I got it.
My favorite Christmas gift is being alive each christmas to see it. I had a stroke 7 years ago, around Thanksgiving, after my youngest daughter was born. I was so scared that I wasn’t going to live to see that Christmas! I lost alot of my memories and still dont remember my daughter as a little girl but i do get to spend everyday with family and that is my favorite chirstmas gift. Thank you Jesus.
My favorite gift was when my husband made the trim and window sill around the window we had replaced. It was a bigger window than was originally in there and so we had to put in new trim and window sill. He is a woodworker and made them himself and put them in for Christmas. It is a beautiful window.

What a wonderful giveaway! My son has Asperger’s Syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism, and he is usually very self-absorbed, but one year for Christmas he spent hours making Christmas gifts out of paper for everyone in the family, and I got a big blue heart made out of his precious legos. One of my favorite presents ever.
My favorite Christmas present was a pearl ring from my mother…symbolizing beauty and purity…something I will always treasure!
Also, my boyfriend has a tall kitchen in his home…after spending a year on tip-toe helping in the kitchen, last Christmas he built me a nice platform-like step. It sounds silly, but I thought that it was really sweet.

I think the best gift I ever got was a Holly Hobby easy bake oven. It was made to look like an old fashioned cook stove. I loved it! I subscribe via email.
On Christmas Day in 1995 I discovered I was pregnant with my eldest daughter. This was the best Christmas present I have ever received as we had been trying to conceive for 3 years. All of the infertility drugs, treatments, etc. were impacting our marriage and we had just decided to stop trying. God blessed us that day!

My best gift was the birth of my daughter Deborah December 13th 2001, especially since she was much longed for after 2 miscarriages !!!!!! Children are really a blessing of the LORD.
Thanks for your awesome blog!
The best gift I ever got & it’s one that keeps giving is the look of joy on my children’s faces every Christmas morning! And it’s not what’s under the tree, but the miracle of the season that brings the peace & joy. Happy even now that my children are older 12, 14, 18, & 20 that I know the wonder is still there.
I subscribe by email & will post on facebook. Thank you!
The best Christmas gift I ever received was an engagement ring and a proposal from my (now) husband, 10 years ago! I kept waiting and waiting for him to pop the question, and I thought it might be at the holidays. We had finished the family festivities and were relaxing at the end of the day. By that point, I figured nothing was going to happen, so I let my guard down – exactly what he was waiting for. I went to clean out my cat’s litter box (!!) and when I came back (rubber gloves on hands and all!), he said, “Sit down – I have one more present for you.” Even though I had been waiting and hoping for a proposal, the moment totally took my breath away. He pulled out a ring and popped the question. Yep, best Christmas present ever!

2. My favorite Christmas gift given was the year I had my mom’s favorite (and deceased) cat’s picture made into a portrait. She loved it and couldn’t stop tearing up. I know it might sound silly, but this cat brought her a lot of physical comfort in some very hard times with his unconditional love.
3. I posted about your give-away on my blog with a link back to your blog.
The greatest gift I ever received was a beautiful wedding doll from my grandmother when I was 8. With 9 children in our family growing up, gifts were scarce so this was certainly a very special gift and now almost 40 years later I still have her and have passed her on to my daughter!
My best Christmas was having a foster baby. To hold a child of God while celebrating the birth of my Savor is awesome.
PS. Subscriber too. Thanks.
The best Christmas present I ever received was when I was in high school and my parents surprised me with a new (rebuilt) clarinet! I had no idea that bulky package under the tree (that I helped wrap) was for me, let alone a clarinet!!!!
My favorite gift was when my brother surprised us by flying my mom in for Christmas. It was the best gift – ever.
My favorite Christmas gift was a pair of roller skates that I received when I 6 years old. I remember the smell of the basement in my grandparents’ home as I test-drove them for the first time, bumpy floor and all.
Thanks!

The best gift was the year my husband and I decided to have his parents spend the money that they would have spent on us on a needy family friends of ours. They never knew the gifts came from us. They had 2 children at the time and we picked out presents for the kids and the parents and then snuck (is that a word?) them onto the front porch Christmas eve. It felt SO GOOD! Thanks for giving away such a wonderful gift. I am subscribed to your email updates.
I have great christmas memories of my dad and christmas with him but I also remember the year we went to nursing home as a family and gave christmas presents all of us learned lessons that year

Best Christmas gift ever was a Cabbage Patch doll that had the name that I wanted. My mom had people all over the country looking for that silly doll! As a mom now, I totally understand why she did it.

Funny thing is, I don’t remember my favorite gift but I do know that the one true gift I can never forget is the gift of Christ. The cool thing He is the gift that keeps on giving.
Every year me and my children bring out our gift to Christ, it is a wrapped box and we write on paper Christmas bulbs what we want to give to Him and place them inside. This is my favorite gift to give. We also get to read the gift from past years we gave Him.
my favorite christmas gift was my diamond necklace from my husband
One of the best gifts I ever received was my daughter’s miraculous healing from her seizure disorder!
The most amazing gift I ever gave was when I was about 20 years old. I lived in New York City and on Christmas day I went down to lower Manhattan and handed out winter coats to almost every homeless person I saw. I still remember (29 years later) that one man said, “do you have a small coat for my son?”. I was so happy that I did and I never saw a happier more grateful father in all my life! I will never forget that.

I don’t remember the what my most favorite gift was. I however do know that once I came to know Christ, Christmas had a whole new meaning. It isn’t about the gifts. I have made an effort to make it be all about Christ. I loved doing the Advent wreath with Scripture/devotions and the Jesse Tree with my daughter.

2. The best Christmas present , hum, when you have children every homemade gift if special. But has a child myself, my best Christmas present was the year I got nothing but paper, pencils, crayons; crafty stuff like that. I still drool over packs of construction paper! A close second, was my saddle.
2. My favorite gifts to give, are the ones we make as a family. They might be a little lop-sided and not so perfect sometimes, but they are always filled with love (and taste good too!)

One of my all time favorite gifts was my first laptop. My parents tried to tell me they couldn’t find one for a good price but would keep looking. Until then they gave me a laptop bag. Then they made me open a certain one next. It was my laptop.
On Dec. 27, 2007 we received a Christmas gift a couple days late. Our beautiful son Clark arrived. He was premature and it was very scary, but God was good. Although Clark spent some time in the NICU he is an ornery, lovable silly little almost 2 y.o. today. Several of our children have birthdays near Christmas, so I always say they are my favorite gifts. (And this yr our youngest arrived on Mother’s Day…. =)
As a child I received a wonderful dollhouse that my grandpa had made and a baby doll cradle as well. This year I am hoping to get them ready in time to give them to my own girls for Christmas!
Hmmm … the best Christmas gift … well, of course, the gift of the Christ child … but from a earthly-standpoint, I’d have to say the Cabbage Patch Doll I received when I was 7 or 8 years old was pretty cool. This was the year the dolls were all the rage, people were going nuts and getting into fist-fights to acquire one. Somehow my mom managed to snag one for me. I am pretty sure she didn’t have to brawl for it, either. Yay! :)
The nativity book is really cool – my older girls would love it! And talking Jesus would be my 3 year-old son’s favorite toy ever, I’m sure! We badly need something to replace the Ken doll he totes around EVERYWHERE!! Ha!
The best gift I ever gave was my son the drum set he had been wanting for so long! He still plays it all the time!
My favorite Christmas gift was not when I was a child, but when I now celebrate Christmas with my children. I love the weeks leading up to the big day. We have such Advent-ure! Christmas morning, I brew a nice pot of coffee, back cinnamon rolls and set up the now-antique camcorder. I just love the new traditions our family has made. Some are similar to my childhood, some to my husband’s – and some are exclusively ours. The greatest gift I have is my family. On Christmas morning, I always sit back and soak in all the joy because their joy is also mine!
The best Christmas gift that I received was a baby doll and doll clothes that my mom made for me. Now that I am a mom I am even more impressed that she found the time to make all of those clothes!

My favorite gift would have to be a tape recorder when I was about 12! We had a ball recording songs and everyones voices that Christmas!
The best gift I ever received was Christmas Eve 2003 when my husband proposed. He doesnt like attention on himself and can be shy when he has to speak in front of a lot of people, but he surprised me and proposed in front of his HUGE family! God truly blessed me by giving me such a loving husband, one who loves me and the Lord! I grew up thinking I never deserved anything good and God continues to show me that because He loves me, He gives me the things I dont deserve because Ive given my life to Him. He is such an awesome God & I thank Him everyday for my wonderful family!
For eight years I gave a special gift to one of my sisters. I made them a comforter quilt. I picked material that I knew they would like and made up the quilt. Each year they would wonder who would get the quilt. It was so much fun and I know they have them yet today!

Best gift? Corny as it sounds, that would be our kids. We tried for 6 years before having our son. And our daughter was a complete surprise, which was wonderful. After years of Christmases wondering if we’d ever have kids, they are the best gift of all.

The Christmas present that stands out the most in my mind was a Holly Hobbie baby doll. I wanted the doll so bad and did not think I would be able to get one. When I saw that doll under the tree, all I could do was smile. My heart did flips for hours after that. What a wonderful feeling that was.
The best Christmas gift I ever received was the Grease album from Santa (I think I was in 1st grade); you know, the one with the album cover you could open like a book and look at all the pictures from the movie… I sooo wanted to be Olivia Newton John!!!!!

The best Christmas gift I have ever received came soon after I became a mom. Christmas took on a whole new meaning when you have the blessing of seeing it through the eyes of your child.
The once hurried rushed morning became almost painfully slow at times :) My first born loved to open a gift and then cherish each one. He was content playing with each gift for awhile before moving on to the next present.
I recall one Christmas when we even put some gifts aside for him to open the next day. Why rush the little guy when he was having so much fun!
So that’s my favorite “gift” of Christmas past. The reminder from my toddler to slow down and enjoy each and every moment of the holiday.

The best Christmas present I ever gave and received was when I was in high school and two friends and I adopted a needy family. On their list was a washer/dryer and several other household items. They did not request any toys for their children; but my friends and I decided to get each of them one toy. We petitioned the church for a washer/dryer and got it! On the day that we delivered the items, the family was WAY overwhelmed! It seemed like they were dreaming BIG when they asked for the washer dryer. My favorite was giving the children the toys. They were so thankful for their gifts. The littlest girl was smiling from ear to ear and asked her mom something in a low whisper. Her mother said shyly, “She wants to give you a kiss”. I was amazed at her love, freely given to strangers, simply because of our unselfish acts. She gave me that kiss and we were both blessed that day.

My favorite gift I receive each Christmas is to spend time with my family making special memories.
1. My favorite gift I ever gave was a hot air balloon ride to my mom. We got a huge box, filled it with a balloon bouquet, and attached a basket on the bottom with the gift certificate in it. When she opened the huge box, the balloons floated to the ceiling. The joy was outrageous. Now, it’s manditory to wrap and present our gifts creatively.

My favorite gift that I got for Christmas was a bath robe. It was so soft and I wore it until it was threads. I was about 12 years old.
The Best gift I ever received was a hand drawn picture from my husband. We happened to be away from each other for a couple weeks before Christmas while I was visiting family. He missed me so much that he Drew this beautiful picture of me, it was quite a surprise and I could tell that he had worked really hard on it.

The best Christmas gift I got was my first daughter who was born a week before Christmas 15 years ago.
For my favorite Christmas gift, its a really tough choice. When I was a teenager I lived with my grandmother and she died two weeks before Christmas. My great aunt took the gift she started and finished a beautiful quilt for me to open on Christmas morning. That quilt is still treasured more than 30 years later. The second and most recent gift was the gift of my mother’s last Christmas. She had Alzheimer’s and was pretty much lost to us for the past two years. My youngest children and I moved in with her and cared for her for over two years. Last Christmas, she actually called me by name and knew I was her daughter (for a little while). She passed in February while my six year old autistic son was curled up beside her and hugging her. God’s love is so wonderful.
My favorite Christmas gift was a new Bible from my fiance, later became my husband. That was our first Christmas. That Bible is old and worn now but our faith and love is new and grow everyday.

Thanksgiving 2006 I was pregnant with our 3rd child and my husband was working on a customers roof. Around noon I got this strange feeling in my soul. A few minutes later the phone rang. It was the hospital. He had fallen 30-40 feet off the roof and landed on a skid of shingles. He needed severeal surgeries, his face so swollen you barely recongized him. I was torn whether or not to let the children (then barely 3-turned 3 2 weeks prior and 6) see him but I knew if something should happen they should get this chance. The doctors and nurses wouldn’t tell me everything at once, fearing I would miscarry. So, my info came in little bits. He had bleeding on the brain as well. Which the night before watching Grey’s a hubby fell on the roof putting up Christmas lights, had bleeding on the brain and passed. So, I had this fear sink in from that and this. LONG story short. That Christmas he was home. Not really himself, but home. The surgery affected a major part of his brain, changing his mood and attitude. He was not the same man that left that morning weeks before. But God saved him and he was here with us. The kids had their daddy and our newest baby would know him as well. He did develope seizures from this and so the next Christmas (2007) he was not with us. He was in the hospital. Another sugery needed. It was very hard on my oldest, now 7. That Christmas eve, not knowing or being told he may have seizsures, he had one in front of us. We’ll never forget it. My daughter cried. So, Christmas 2007 was a bit hard. And Christmas 2008 we almost had lost the house -foreclose. My hubby was self employed when he fell and I a sahm. Family and friends came through and helped us save our home that year. Providing with so much. Christmas has always been special. But going through life changing events really makes you appreciate what God has given you. You look at what you have and not what you don’t. You make the most of each day and let things go more. Life became so much more from 2006 on that is for sure. I am pregant again, 6.5 months. I fell recently and needed 12 stitches in my chin and bottom lip. My 3 children were so brave when we went to the hospital. Before I went back my daughter, my oldest, now 10 let it all go. She started crying really hard. She was strong while she had to be and now had to release it all. I heard her say as I was wheeled out that she is used to this stuff because of what happened to her daddy and that is how she could be so strong. Makes me so sad she has had so much pain so young. But proud at how brave she is through it all. BTW, my current baby and I are fine now. Stitches out. Face healed with a few scars. But baby boy is kicking strong. Thank you God for blessing us so much.

My favorite Christmas gift was a diamond necklace my husband gave me the year before we were married on a carriage ride through a park decorated with christmas lights.
My favorite gift as a child was my leather jacket. I REALLY wanted one, but never even dreamed I would actually get it!
My husband blessed me with season tickets to the local performance theater.

My mother in law bought me a kitchen aid mixer last year. It was completely unexpected and I love it!
The best Christmas gift I ever received was the year my parents got me my Cabbage Patch doll. I wanted one SO bad and they were still very hard to come by at that time. But somehow, my parents got one for me and I still have her to this day. ; )
The best Christmas gift that I ever received was from my daughter when she was 5 years old. She had been attending a Bible class every Wednesday night for the past 4 months. During these classes, she earned points to be used in the “store.”
She saved up all of her points until right before Christmas. Instead of getting something for herself, she got her little sister a doll, her daddy a quitar ornament, and I got some earrings. I just loved it!!!! She is 11 now, but I still have my earrings, and it tickles her when I wear them.
In 1995 was the year I was married, and the year I became born again. I have to say that was the best Christmas I have ever had. It was the first Christmas with my new husband, and the very first christmas I celebrated JESUS my saviour, not just my religion. Knowing that the birth of one baby could release me from the bondage I carried living in a sinful world. Thank you, JESUS.
I think the best gift I remember giving was when I was 15. My father had died 6 months earlier and my mom and I were having trouble with our relationship and with money. All she wanted for Christmas was a heavy winter coat. She gave me $200 to spend on Christmas including a gift for her.I decided to surprise her by saving up my allowance money for months before and pay for Christmas myself. On Christmas morning I gave her the coat and she was happy, but then I told her to check the pocket for something extra. Then she pulled out the $200 I’d managed to save up to give her back. She was so happy she cried. I’ll never forget that day and I was so blessed to be able to bless her.
The best Christmas gift I ever received was getting the chicken pox on Christmas Eve. I was able to spend the evening alone with my Grandmother babysitting me for the first time ever (for the holidays) while my family attended another family gathering.
Also, I’m a subscriber. :) Thanks for all you do!

The best Christmas present was my Tanzanite ring my husband gave me on out first christmas. This coming February he would have been gone for 3 years. I never take the ring off.
The best christmas present that I was given was out precious little girl. We had been blessed with two sons biologicaly and we wanted to have a big family. But after our seacond son the Doctors told us that we couldnt have anymore. So we prayed and prayed and thanked God for all the blessings that he had given us. We started doing foster care. We were so blessed with many foster children. We got a beautiful little girl at age five to adopt. We were all so excited. But there was still that longing in our hearts for a newborn. We had many newborn little girls through our home for foster care but none that God said was ment to be ours to keep. So we just left it in the hands of the Lord. 16 years later I thought I had the flu and God said no. On December 23, 2004 Bryanna Lynn was born. Healthy and beautiful. We brought her home Christmas morning (after telling all the family that we had to stay in the hospital for a couple more days.) everyone was still sleeping. The nurses had put a big red bow on her head before we left the hospital. So we put her in her carseat under the Christmas tree and then woke everyone up….. What a blessed and joyus Christmas. Prayer is very powerful. Praise God for all of the blessings in our lives.
My favorite Christmas gift is one I received when I was 10 years old.
My grandfather spent months building a beautiful dollhouse from scrap wood he had. he even made a picked fence and gate to go around it.
Closer to Christmas as the dollhouse was getting closer to being completed my parents and older brother and sister joined in to help wallpaper and carpet the insides, They even decorated a miniature Christmas tree with real working lights and decorations for the living room.
My Grandfather passed away on December 23,
I know he was watching over me on Christmas morning when I woke up and got the first look ant my beautiful dollhouse.
I still have and treasure that dollhouse today. The miniature Christmas tree still remains in the living room.
The most important gift to me was the birth of Jesus Christ! It will be remembered forever! I also enjoy giving gifts to people. My family spends from Thanksgiving to Christmas making and taking homemade goodies. We gift a special gift and blessing from doing these activities.
My favorite gift was one bittersweet Christmas. My husband and I had just lost our 3rd baby. We were crushed and decided not to give gifts. The medical bills were terrible. I came home from work and a giant box with Christmas lights turned on, when I flipped the switch. It was a joyous site and inside was a sweater I had longed for but knew we could not afford. To this day he will not tell me how he came to get it. It was a happy day after all. It gave us both hope. We have 2 boys now.!!
My favorite gift was a “tearful teddy”.. you would give him his bottle and he would cry. Thanks for the great giveaway!
The most precious gift i recieved was my son. Each child is a gift from God. He was due on the 10th but didnt come until the 23rd. I usually have to stay extra in the hospital for the beta strep, but my doctor kindly released us due to the holidays. As I was the biggest i had ever gotten and was feeling very bad by this time, his coming was wonderful not only for welcoming him into the world finally, but for my relief.
I can honestly say my favorite christmas gift is what my husband and I call our very special delivery, our son.
As we were celebrating the holidays and settling down from presents, family and all the excitement our son decided to join us and so he was born. Sweet!

For me the best gift has been just celebrating Christmas. I didn’t grow up in a Christian family but now that we get together with my husband’s family each year and celebrate what He has done for us, it’s very special. It’s all new to me and I’m loving it.
My favorite gift would be the dolly that could walk and wet her pants!. Who knew when I grew up I would work with three year olds who do the same. I love it still.

The neatest gift I gave was to my daughter.I had bought two boxes of Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls off of Ebay(a bargain). Then I sat them all around the Christmas tree.It was worth it.The look on her face when she came in and saw them was Beautifull.
One of my favorite gifts given was to my parents- a memory jar. My 3 sisters and I purchased a beautiful vase/jar and filled it with slips of papers with memories from our childhood. It was not only fun for my parents, but for us too-lots of laughs- and lots of memories!
I subscribe too- thanks for the give away!
My favorite Christmas gift has always been seeing my children enjoy their gifts. I just sit and watch them open their gifts, and they always have to remind me – “Mom, open your gifts.” :)
My favorite Christmas gift was a big box from my aunt and uncle that was filled with nothing but arts and crafts stuff when I was about 8 yrs old – paper galore, paints, glitter glue – I was in craft heaven for several months!!

I think the best Christmas Gift I ever gave was when my husband came home from work talking about a Family with 4 children that’s house had burned to the ground the night before. It was Dec 20 and we knew that they had lost everything. Someone gave them an old house in the country to live in temporaily, took them clothing, food, furniture and met all of their physical needs. We took them some food staples on Dec 22, but I noticed how sad the children looked and how bare their house looked. As soon as we got back in the car, I told my husband that we had to make sure those kids had a nice Christmas. We had an extra artificial Christmas tree and some decorations and I got on the phone and rounded up several boxes of extra decorations from friends and family. I thought they would be giving us their ‘old’ decorations, but imagine my supprise when we opened the boxes and people had shared their ‘good’ decorations and several people gave money too. We went shopping for presents using our money & money that was donated by others and bought a car load of presents for the kids keeping in mind their ages. We also bought a bible and a stocking for each child. On Dec 23 we delivered 2 car loads of Christmas decorations and the stockings. The looks on those children’s faces and the tears in the eyes of their mother! I will never forget it as long as I live! While the children and my husband started unpacking the decorations, I took their mother to our car and showed her the presents we had for the kids. I explained how we thought she’d like to keep that a secret and helped her sneak them into the barn behind her house. She burst into tears saying this was more than she ever imagined and that the kids had lost so much this year. We made Christmas happen for one family that really needed Christmas back in their hearts that year. Their physical needs had surely been met, but thanks to generous friends and family we knew that their spiritual needs had been met too. Christmas morning, my husband and I both got up with smiles on our faces imagining the suprised faces on those children when they saw the gifts under the tree. Yes, that has to be the best gift I ever gave anyone, the gift of Christmas.
My favorite Christmas gift that I ever gave and recieved was the gift of life to my second son. He was born on the 12th of Dec. It was a wonderful Christmas and he always bring a smile to my face and a special spirit into the home.
I just linked you back to my facebook page!
My favorite Christmas present that I gave to someone was when I was living in Holland. I was at a YWAM base (Youth With A Mission) and most of the people that were doing a Discipleship Training School with me had left for Christmas. The people that were left at the base decided to exchange names for Christmas gifts. Unfortunately, I was completely broke and had no idea what to give to the lady whose name I had drawn. What I did have with me was cardstock and drawing pens. I decided to make eight unique cards for her to use as greeting cards for other people. I did each picture in black and white and worked on them for quite awhile. I loved the creative process and the fact that I had put a piece of myself into my gift for her. When I was finished, I tied them up with ribbon and gave them to her on Christmas morning. She seemed very pleased with the gift.
I posted on my family blog which is private and also the blog attached to this about your site and the giveaway. It is a awonderful giveaway.
The best gift I’ve ever received was a photo album my mother-in-law created for me by sacrificing some of her favorite pictures of my husband growing up! My children now love this gift as well.
My favorite gift I gave was with my sister to her husband. He ALWAYS guessed what she was giving him, way before Christmas Day. About 8 years into their marriage I helped finagle a Christmas Sunday, while he was at Church, teaching a Sunday School class, delivery of a Lazy Boy Recliner that he had been drooling over. He came home to find it in the living room! FINALLY a surprise! (We faked a very messy baby that had to be completely changed, in order to go home to meet the delivery man! ) I mentioned you and linked to you on my blog, and I subscribe to yours.
The best gift I gave was to my girlfriends family – they didnt have enough money to buy gifts so my children and I went out and bought bags of gifts and surprised the parents with them. So the kids had gifts from Santa. Nothing feels better than giving.
The best present I gave was to my mother. I went to her home country and meet with her relatives, they gave me two beautiful pictures of her parents on their wedding day. Her parents had been deceased for quite a while. So I framed the pictures up nice and pretty and gave them to her. It was a priceless moment when she opened the present!
Last year had to be our best Christmas. I had our 2nd child in September and my husband was laid off 1 week after that. He finally found a job but was making half of what he made at his other job. I am a stay-at-home mom so we had no way of getting gifts for Christmas. Just before Thanksgiving my neighbor brought a gift basket of gift cards totaling about $500 from various poeple in our church. We also had women from my bible study donate gifts for the kids and me and my husband. God used them to provide a perfect Christmas for my kids. We even had money to purchse a tree. :) If you look at pictures from last year you would never ever guess that we had no money. God is good!!

My favorite Christmas gift was a small, black and white t.v. that my boyfriend gave me. When we were looking out of town once at engagement rings they were giving away a those t.v.s with purchase. Well, I knew when I opened it (the night before Christmas) that he would be proposing on Christmas Eve. You see, he had forgotten I knew about the t.v. because we had looked at it months before. I was so excited when I opened that gift because I knew the man that I loved was going to ask me to be his wife! We married 17 years ago and I am still so excited and blessed to be his wife!

My favorite gift I ever rec’d was having my parents with us in our new house for Christmas with all our kids at home! My favorite gift I ever gave was last Christmas I sent a Honey Baked Ham to my parents —it seems so little, but my daddy was in chemo and couldn’t have company. They live 1000 miles away. Daddy had had chemo right before Christmas day —but he could talk nothing about that silly ham and how good it tasted –he ate it for every meal I think for several days. He lost his fight in Jan.

The best gift I ever got for Christmas was also kind of my worst. My dad died on Dec. 12 2006 and although that made a very bad Christmas It was also the last time the rest of my family was all together including some distant cousins and my aunt and her kids. I remember sitting there thinking what a blessing it was to have such unity even for only a few days and under such circumstances. It is almost like my dad had brought us all together. Christmas is probably my most favorite holiday now because it is the time I feel the closest to him and the time I remember most from my childhood. When my dad died he also gave me the greastest gift off all…Christ. It was because of my struggle with his death that I found Christ. It has changed my life in so many ways.

My best Christmas present that I recieved was an engagment ring from my now husband. He had placed it on some black knit gloves and put them in a gift bag. It was the last present that was under the tree. Seven years ago and still my favorite.
My favorite Christmas gift was a set of stainless steel bowls. Not sentimental at all but I use them all the time!
My favorite Christmas gift was a big teddy bear that I received when I was three years old. He is well-loved after 42 years and now sleeps with my three year old son!
The best present I recieved for Christmas was an engagment ring from my husband. He placed it on a black knit glove and placed it in a small gift bag. I t was the last present under the tree. It still is my favorite memory seven years later.
My favorite Christmas gift was when I was 22, my father bought me some perfume, Red. It was exactly what I liked but couldn’t afford. I had never said anything to him about wanting that perfume. He just went by himself to the perfume counter and picked it out. This was above and beyond what my mom had picked out to give me from the both of them. He’d never done anything like that before…
I have a favorite gift every year for Christmas. I have 8 children (6 grown and out on their own living all over the place and 2 little ones at home). Christmas is one of the few times that I can see them all together. We celebrate Jesus’ birth together and that is all the gift I need for Christmas.
My favorite gift given was ornaments for a Jesse Tree. I found the images on a school website and was given permission to share them as long as they are not sold. The website for the school is on the page with text. I printed the images on 3 diffrent colors of card stock (the bible verse on back) and had them laminated. If your children like to color you can print them on white cardstock, let them color, and then laminate them for a keepsake.
If you would like a copy please see my post at http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/yabby/630466
My favorite gift as a child was a doll house from Santa. I loved the minitures!

My favourite Christmas present was after my mother had died (during the Christmas holidays) my sister and I vowed to always spend Christmas together, that was 6 years ago!
This year will be really special as her new baby girl is coming too.
My favorite Christmas gift was my Cabbage Patch doll. I had wanted one forever. My parents gave me a knock off the year before. They were forgiven though! :)

The best Christmas gift I’ve recieved had to be the handmade (Crocheted) Stocking my husband made me when we were dating :) Brought tears to my eyes.
The best gift, I’ve given…I think the most meaningful gift I’ve given is the Operation Christmas Child ShoeBoxes. Every year I get together with a few other families and pack shoeboxes. I really enjoy that and it’s probably the peak of my holidays.
My favoritie gift I gave was a practice chanter so my husband could learn to play the bagpipes.

My favorite Christmas gift was a cruise to Hawaii for my husband and I from my parents. The BEST vacation we ever had!
The best gift I received was a doll when I was 8 years old. I cried when I opened her up! I will never forget that Christmas!
My favorite gift that I received. We had a snow storm on the last day of school before Christmas vacation. Because of it we didn’t have our class party, so my husband drove me to every child’s home and we delivered their gifts. What a blessing that was for me and my Pk students.
My favorite christmas present I ever gave was when I was in the sixth grade. We were moving on christmas day so our house was all packed up and we did not have a tree. (we had had our christmas a couple of days before so we could pack it up) the only thing left in our house was our blankets for pallets and my grandfathers chair in the living room and my notebook and colors and back pack of toys for me.
christmas eve night I stayed up and drew a christmas tree covering 3 sheets of notebook paper and also drew wrapping paper and wrapped up two little mirrors (that banks used to give away inside of a rubber pouch) with a note saying “the best gift I ever got is starring back at you” I then found some tape and taped the tree together and turned my grandpas chair around and taped it to it. and placed their presents under my paper tree.
Six months later my grandparents adopted me. :)
I think the best christmas ever we had was when sadly I had just gone thru a divorce and was on my own with my 2 children living in a small apt, we were recieving food stamps and medicaid at the time and very little income. The children were 4 & 6 at the time. It was the day before christmas eve and there was a knock at the door. I opened the door and there were 2 police officers and Santa standing at our door. With 2 big black trash bags full of gifts for the children.I invited them in. I called for the children to come see who our visitors were. The children were soooo excited to have Santa in their apt they couldn’t believe it. Santa gave them some gifts to open on the spot and the rest he put under our tree! Of course we were ALL in tears, including santa and the policemen by the time everything was done. If it had not been for them my children would not of had christmas that year. The other best part of that was the children both recieved new coats in the gifts and in the pocket of their coats they had place a $ 20.00 bill so they could buy themselves something too. I will NEVER forget that christmas. That was 13 years ago :)
The best Christmas gift I ever received was a flip video camera from my husband last year.

The best Christmas present I’ve ever had was the first Christmas my husband was saved. God gives us the best gifts! My husband now helps in the childrens ministry and has a wonderful relationship with God.
My favorite Christmas gift was a pair of new black patent leather shoes that I would get every year as a child. It started a long love affair with shoes. :)
The favorite gift I ever gave for Christmas was the Blue Eyed White Velvet Unicorn. I was broke and in college. My mom had driven into the city with my little brother to visit , take me to lunch and window shop (before malls) . While window shopping she fell in love with the white velvet unicorn with blue eyes…but of course a mom would never buy herself something so frivilous. I wasn’t able to buy gifts for my whole family that year. I gave small token gifts to the rest of my family and spent most of my earnings on the unicorn. Mom was shocked and teary eyed when she opened it. That was 28 years ago. She still has the unicorn. She still cherishes it.
I encourage my children to give gifts they make or of their time. The best one I received was a booklet of coupons for back scratches, foot massages, playing with my hair and making my bed. I personally enjoy the food massages the best. : ) I also subscribe by email. Thanks.
My favorite Christmas gift was a large teddy bear. I think I must have been 1 1/2 and it was 4 times my size. I can still see the pictures from that Christmas, and I can remember setting that Bear up in my room for years to come.
My favorite Christmas gift came a tad early in 1999. I was pregnant with our first child and was due early December. Annalysa arrived 3 weeks early, on November 17th. Our first Christmas was not full of many material gifts, as we were missionaries in Asia, but we could not have been any happier with our wonderful gift from God! :)
My favorite Christmas gift received was a ‘Francie’ doll. The closest thing to my name and I just loved it. I also subscribe via email. thanks!! :)
The best Christmas present I ever received was two years ago my husband bought our family a Golden retriever puppy.
One of my favorite gift was piano lessons for Christmas at 16. I had taken a break for a few years, and was so excited to have the opportunity to learn again. :)

The best Christmas gift I ever got was in 1997. I had just had what I thought was a misscarage. Well actually I had misscarried a little girl. When my doctor examended me he said I was still pregnant. I had been carrying twins. I really took it easy for the next 5 months but knowing I had not lost both children was the best Christmas I could ever have.
The best Christmas present you could ask for came on a Christmas Day, it was my husband and mines second Christmas togeather and I was pregnet with our first son. Things were not going well for us this year we were going to have to move in with my parents and we didn’t even have a Christmas tree but at 3 am Christmas morning my water broke and at 3:05 pm I had our beautiful baby boy a month early but in good health weighing in at 6lbs 5ozs. His name is Nathan and he is a wonderful, good nature boy that will be 18 years old this Christmas. What was thought of as a meager Chirstmas turned into the best Christmas we ever had what more could you ask for.
My favorite Christmas gift would had to be the easy bake oven ~ I baked all sorts of things in there :D

My Favorite Christmas present was a Canon Rebel (Film) When I was 15 years old.
The best Christmas I have had was when I was about 12. My parents did not have much money and tried really hard to buy something anything at all. They did not succeed in being able to purchase anything for us except a little yellow plastic box (which I used for songs I had wrote) (four of us in the family) but we did as a family volunteer at the homeless shelter and served food to the needy on Christmas Eve. I remember the joy of knowing Jesus was our gift and gave His life for us and being able to share that with others who for what ever reason did not have it so easy. We did not get toys or presents that year but got something even better. The knowledge of giving of yourself even when its hard and appreciation for the value of family being together.

The gift I ever received was the year my family decided everyone had to make their present. My brother made a lighted cabinet for my Precious Moments collection. This was my best gift.
My absolute best Christmas gift was my Barbie House in 1973. I got the 2 story house, a swimming pool and a bicycle all for Barbie. I would have all my friends come over and Barbie would have all kinds of parties. When I found out that people broke into the children’s home for abused and neglected children next door to us, I gave all my Barbie stuff except for the 2 original dolls that were my mother’s to the girls . My brothers gave all of their Lego’s and Hot Wheels and I also gave all of my babu dolls, furniture and clothing. It made me feel good as a 10 y/o to be able to make children happy.
The best Christmas gift I ever received was my son born on Dec. 22. When leaving the hospital on Dec 24th to go home, all babies went home in Christmas Stockings made by the hospital staff. It was so precious to see, I will never forget.
When my husband and I were building our first home, and living with my parents, money was really tight and he knew that I really wanted a sewing machine for Christmas. He kept telling me that we just didn’t have the money for the machine, so I was resigned in the fact that I we would not be able to get one.
On Christmas morning he brought out everyone’s gifts and he left mine in the other room. After everyone’s gifts were open, he had snuck out of the room and came back in with it when I was not looking.
I cried like a baby, and then got mad because I didn’t get him anything. He said that I did because I would be able to make things for the family, and that would bless him.
The best gifts I have given away are my children. When I spiritually gave them back to the Lord for his guidance and safe keeping, until we will all met again in our heavenly home.
My favorite Christmas gift was a chest that my Grandfather made for me. It was my senior year in high school, and I cried when I received it. Grampa is now in Heaven, but I think of him everything time I open my chest!
A few years ago, Andrea, the daughter of a former pastor from the church I attend gave me my favorite Christmas gift. Andrea was born a couple days after my daughter Kristen so they grew up in church together. During a special service, when both were infants, they were dedicated to God. Seven years ago, at the of age 16, my daughter was taken to be with the Lord and it was a very hard time in my life. Getting through holidays was especially difficult. A few years after the accident, Andrea handed me a package and told me not to open it until I got home. When I opened it, I found a double framed picture. One side was Kristen and Andrea, aged 2, sitting on the front steps of the church, wearing red and white dresses, all ready for church. The other side was a picture of them all dressed up at the homecoming dance at highschool. Needless to say, the gift touched my heart more than any words could ever say. What touched me the most was that Andrea had the heart to do this for me and this gift was instrumental in the healing process God has done in my life. I know where my daughter is and one day, I’ll be with her again. I thank God for the 16 quality years He gave her to us. Andrea still continues to be a blessing to others. She travels to foreign countries sharing Jesus.
The best gift I ever received was a package of birdfeed and a feeder so that we could watch the birds feast as we had our Christmas feast. It was nice to give not only to my family but also to wildlife. It made us all very thankful for the blessing of good food on the table and the company of each other.
Wow…this is a wonderful giveaway, but I didn’t know your site existed! I found out about “The Crafty Classroom” via Lapbook Lessons and glad to be here.
I subscribed (lot of neat ideas that I wish I had known about earlier and would be so helpful for school), thank you for sharing your craft ideas.
I posted this on my blog!
You can visit the blog, here; Lol, I honestly think the best Christmas gift is really, is just being able to be with the family for the holidays.
The best Christmas gift I ever got was a toy piano when I was two. I played that thing until it fell apart and then my parents knew that I really liked playing piano and purchased a regular size piano for me. I have played piano for over 55 years now and it brings great pleasure to myself and to others.

The best Christmas gift I ever got was the birth of my first daughter. She was born right before Christmas and I felt like she was such a wonderful present from God. I never knew I could experience love as strong as the moment when I first held her. My “baby” is now getting ready to turn ten years old and I have loved every moment of watching her grow up into a beautiful young, Christian lady – inside and out.
I heard of this giveaway from an e-mail I received from Curr Click & I also posted it on my blog at http://momof2girlygirlz.blogspot.com/2009/11/pop-up-nativity-set-giveaway.html
Thank you for your generosity in your giveaway!
My favorite Christmas gift was a Holly Hobby cardboard house! We set it up in our bedroom and had hours of playing house fun! I loved Holly Hobby!!
When I was in 8th grade I gave simple Christmas cards to all of my teachers. My math teacher, an elderly gentleman who had been teaching forever, wrote me such a sweet note back telling me that was his first year, in all of his many years of teaching, a student had given him something for Christmas. That was such a neat experience of how a little something can brighten someones holiday!
One of the BESTEST gifts I ever received for Christmas was an umbrella. I know this sounds silly, but I had seen this Monet patterned umbrella in The Museum Store when I was a Senior in High School, and I absolutely fell in love with it. However, it was expensive for just an umbrella, so given the other gifts I would probably be getting, I didn’t think I’d get one. When I did, I believe I surprised my parents by how excited I was to get “just and umbrella.”
Years have since past, and the umbrella has broke, but it did make my rainy days so joyful for many years!
My favorite Christmas gift was a My Little Pony dream house when I was about 8 years old, it was pink and had a pool! I loved that thing and played with it everyday!!
The best Christmas was when my niece and nephew were little watching them enjoy Christmas so much. I enjoy teaching my class at church about the birth and life of Jesus.
I am a subscriber to you site and enjoy it very much.
I am trying to think but i jut cant remember my best christmas gift! Ive gotten so many ive loved. The giant ocean scene portrait, a bible, i dont even know, lol!

My favorite gift was when I was 13, parents gave me a glider. I loved it. I actually just had to get rid of it a month or so ago. I would sit and read in it all the time, and eventually used it to nurse, rock and read to my two little ones.

The best Christmas present I’ve ever given … … hmm. 2 years ago we gave my in-laws tickets to a Boston Bruins game. They’d never been to a hockey game and LOVE the Bruins.
And last year we made my sister-in-laws YEAR by giving her an IPod.
I blogged about the giveaway .
The best gift I ever received was a suede cowgirl outfit complete with hat and gun w/holster. My two sisters also got the same gift. We were so proud of them. My parents were very poor and there were six kids to buy for. I will always cherish this memory because I know it was a sacrifice on their part. They have both passed away but this memory will always remain with me.
My favorite Christmas was the year my “crazy” uncles & my Dad had a Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. I was the only grandchild in the family (except for a 6-month old cousin) and Rudolph was the craze.
They had rigged a mounted deer head with a flashing red light on his nose and held it up to the window at our family Christmas party. This was in Pennsylvania, it was cold and snow covered the ground and we were out in the country on the family farm.
One “crazy” uncle got his shotgun out and ran out the back door and shot off a couple rounds and came it shouting, “I got him, I shot Rudolph” I was devastated and they had to show me the deer head then.
I never fully appreciated what they went through to please a little girl until I was much older and even now, 51 years later and they are all in heaven with Jesus, I think of them and my Dad with much love.

The best gift I ever received was my first bike…it was in the 70’s so it was one witht the wide handle bars with a basket and a rainbow bananna seat.
The best present I got for Christmas was a peaceful Christmas dinner with my entire family. Nobody fought and nobody argued with each other. We all just talked, ate and was happy. Our family had a hard time adjusting to the holidays since my grandpa passed away.
The best Christmas was just 3 years ago when my newborn son was admitted to the hospital with a high fever. It was Christmas Eve and all the children (5) were so excited about the next morning. However, they woke up to find mommy and Josiah were not at home, but in the hospital. We came home 3 days later and celebrated the BEST Christmas ever because we realized that the most important things was being together and being alive! God gave us this gift in 2006 and we’ll never forget it. Josiah is a healthy almost 3 now!
The best Christmas present I ever received was a computer from my husband. Money was scarce and we had decided we would not buy gifts for each other that year. I desperately needed a computer so that I could work on my Masters at home as I was expecting our first child. When I came downstairs and saw the big boxes under the tree I couldn’t believe my eyes! When I opened the packages I was even more amazed. I was amazed that my husband would spend all of the money on me without thought to himself. What a great Christmas!
I love the homemade gifts from my children. I also remember my 16th Christmas when my parents gave me a china doll which played “You Are My Sunshine”. Even though I was 16, I carried that doll with me when we visited my grandparents that year. I still cherish that doll and all the gifts from my children.
I subscribe my email.
Awesome giveaway, thank you!
My favorite gift received was a pony! I knew him and worked with him and I have no idea how my mom ever afforded him. My favorite gift given, well I love love love to give and I guess my favorite to give is home made things!
I subscribe to your blog. :)
My most memorable gift was a sewing box to keep thread etc. in . . because I found it hidden before Christmas . . . .and still use it all the time today! I got an e-mail from you telling me about this give away . . . is that subscribing by e-mail???
The best Christmas gift I received was a Christmas ornament of my oldest sons handprint. It still hangs on our tree each year. I love gifts made from the heart.
My favorite Christmas gift will be 4 years ago this Christmas, and it was when I brought home my first son home from the hospital. He came almost a month early but was perfectly healthy, just wanted to share his birthday with Jesus I guess.
My favorite gift was the puppy my dad gave me for Christmas one year. We drove from Florida to Ohio that winter. My husband insisted that we give her back! LOL but we kept her and drove her all the way home and she turned out to be the best diabetic Schipperkee ever and the most memorable present too.
My favorite Christmas gift has been the ones my grandchildren give me. They have $1.00 to spend it much thought goes into it. It always brings me joy what they come up with. The best gift I give, is taking the grandkids to visit great grandpa in the snow. They love the memories longer than a gift boxed under the tree.
My favorite Christmas present was a Magnolia bud blooming.
There was a warm spell and the trees budded. I picked one and brought it in. It snowed for Christmas. I prayed my bud would bloom and it did!
That’s when I realized that God is in the details, the small stuff, and loves us, giving us even these samll indulgences and always answering prayer.
My best Christmas gift was adopting my two foster children!
The best gift I ever received was coming out of a midnight service in Texas when my children were small and find it snowing. It was so beautiful and a true gift from God. I remember the excitement of my 3 and 5 year old and seeing the snow. It was a Christmas to remember. It doesn’t snow that often in Texas.
I love to give gifts…especially to my children when they were younger. It really did not matter what it was, just the look in their eyes.
My best Christmas present was a trip to England with my mother-in-law (we get along well)!

While visiting my aunt and uncle for Thanksgiving one year, I was in the kitchen doing dishes. Dean Martin came on the radio and my aunt and uncle began to dance. She invited my hubby and I to dance. She said something to the effect of making life out of the moments. Leaving the dishes and seizing the opportunity to enjoy life. It stuck with me ever since. I saw a Willow Tree figurine of a husband and wife dancing, and I knew it was for them. My aunt knew exactly why I gave her the figurine. I love giving good gifts, I pray that God helps me find just the right ones!
I am a subscriber and I also have a great gift. My sons were crazy for dinosaurs, so St. Nick brought them dinosaur skeletons. However, St. Nick left dinosaur foot prints around the house which they had to follow. When they got to the basement they found a large plastic pool filled with sand with a sign that said dig! They had to dig through the sand to find their presents. They had a blast!!!
My favorite gift to give is the yearly ornament. Each year I buy (or make) the girls an ornament about something important in their lives from that year. By the time they’re grown, they’ll have a lovely hodge podge collection to remember their childhood by!
My best Cristmas gift ever was a memory box from my then fiance, now husband of 12 1/2 years. In it I am able to keep cards from him and our children as well as the tape he made of the song he wrote to propose. I truly treasure this gift!
My moms last Christmas, three months before she died from cancer, my aunt came to the rescue. My aunt knew I was out of joy and strength. I didn’t have it in me to put up a tree and decorate. She saw that need and filled it. She put up a tree and decorated it while I was at the hospital with my mom. My children could still enjoy Christmas. That was the most touching gift ever!
I may receive the best present this year for Christmas…I am due with my 3rd child! I also subscribe by email. Thanks!
My greatest gift given, is teaching my children the true meaning of Christmas.
The best Christmas gift I ever gave was the year I started learning how to sew (2 yrs ago). I sent all of our relatives Christmas-sy pillows cases and aprons!! Those accompanied the picture cds we always send to them as well. But I cannot tell you how proud I was that we (because my 5 children at the time) helped. We were thrilled. Now how thrilled our relative were with reindeer aprons and sparkly angel pillow cases I don’t know, especially the teenage boys:)
The best Christmas gift I ever got was our move back to the US from Taiwan. We had been stranded there waiting for our adoption for our younger son to go through, living in hotel and friends’ homes with hubby’s employeer waiting for him to move and show up to work. Shortly after Christmas we got on that 27 hour flight so full of gratitude with our 4 children and me 8 mths pregnant. That was the best!!! We couldn’t wait to get here.
The best Christmas gift I ever gave was to my step mother. My mom passed away when I was 11 and she became my step mom when I was 13. All she wanted this one year was for someone to by a goat from Heifer International to go to people of poverty to help them get a start in life. No one in my family wanted to do this for her so I did it in honor of her and wrapped up a little card telling all about it. She was thrilled!! I just can’t explain how excited she got. I also learned a lot that Christmas about what it truly means to do for others. She talks about every Christmas!
I also posted the give away on my blog!

My favorite gift was my new set of C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia.

The best christmas gift to me was from god … My last child was born on December 22, 2001. I thought we were not going to be home for christmas when she was born because the doctor could not keep her temperature at the temp he wanted her to be so she could hold her own… so we thought we were going to have to postpone christmas with family and our other 3 children… but she finally kept her temp up and we got to take her home on the 24th of December Christmas Eve. I wanted to name her something special my husband wanted to name her after me, but I wanted to have christ in her name and something to do with christmas so we named her – Misty Michelle – Christina Nordyke.
She was my only 6 lb. baby and she was so little I had to carry her on a pillow…
That was my best christmas ever !!!
This is a hard one, I would have to say the best gift I have ever received would be the birth of Christ. If I had to pick a special gift under the tree, it would be the Indian doll my father gave me one year, when I was going through an extremely hard time. The gift I like to give, is my time and to aid others that are struggling through the holidays. I like to provide either a meal for a family or purchase a few gifts for them. It is not much but I enjoy giving to others.

My favorite Christmas present was a Holly Hobby rocking chair I got when I was 4 or 5. I loved reading to my baby dolls and rocking with them in my own chair.
I just subscribed. Great site!
When I was 14,my family was going through money problems, we could not afford to buy presents or even get a tree. My mother went outside and broke a branch off an old pinetree, she brought it in and hung the branch on the livingroom wall. We decorated it, and as lopsided, and unusual as it looked , to us it was the most beautiful christmas tree we’d could ever wish for .. That christmas eve,we each went to our rooms and choose things belonging to us to give to our family members, we wrapped our gifts lovingly and at mid-night passed them out. Under our pine branch tree, with our gifts, we gave to each other the best gift of all. Our Love !!!!!
My favorite Christmas gift as a child was my Bride Doll at age 10. She remained on my made-up bed each morning and I always took care to keep her like new. I only wish my mother had not given her away when I moved out and got married. Later when I asked her about it (wanting to hand it down to my own 1st daughter) she told me she sold it at a garage sale. My mom was not into sentimentality.
My favorite Christmas gift ever was a bracelet my husband gave me that has my childrens names on it.

We used to have fun when I was a teen and lived in a small town. My parents would give us money for Christmas, and we would go into the city (San Antonio) to buy our clothes on sale the day after Christmas. That was great! That was always a fun time together seeing how much we could get for our money.
I know this isn’t a “Christmas” present, but I have to share my favorite anniversary gift. For our 10th anniversary, my husband made a list of proper things to give for each anniversary. (Silver for 25th, gold for 50th, etc…)He put “plastic” for the 10th, and I got 2 new slow-closing plastic toilet seats. I went into the hospital to have our third child the next day, and my dad installed the seats for me. I loved those toilet seats, and I have missed them since we have moved. I will never forget my hubby’s clever list, and truly thoughtful gift. Anyone can give perfume, but my hubby knew me well enough to give me something I really wanted. (He did go all out and give me a ring the next day in the hospital, but he and I both knew I liked the toilet seats better.)
My favorite gift of all was always being with my grandparents and family. Celebrating the love of the season. The lights, the laughter and so much joy!
My favorite gift, which I still treasure today, is a Black Hills gold cross from my grandmother, who is now with Jesus. I love it! She bought it to replace one I’d lost. I can’t wear it anymore, because the loop is nearly worn through, but I still have it.
My favorite Christmas gift was my husband. We were married on December 21st and he remains my best gift after 45 years.
The best Christmas gift my family has ever gave away is to the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. A couple of years ago, my husband and I told our children about other little boys and girls in the world who doesn’t know what Christmas is. Since then, as a family we go shopping for our shoe boxes and pack them and pray that a special little boy or girl would receive one of our boxes. As a mother, watching your children get excited about giving to others is a wonderful gift.

What a fun giveaway.
Hmmmm, I think the best Christmas gift I ever gave was the year I made homemade food hampers and/or calendars for all my family (that was in the years before you could make nice calendars digitally online!). I composed little poems to go with the gifts and generally had such a great time doing it. Interestingly, I can’t even remember what I got for a gift that year.
The best gift I ever received was last year when my eldest daughter gave be a beautiful Christmas Tree platter – I had been drooling over it in the shop window but knew it was an unnecessary purchase. She went home, scraped together her savings and (I later found out) did a few jobs for her dad to earn the rest, and bought it for me.
I have just subscribed by email too – this looks like a great site. I will be back to look around.
The best gift I have given and recieved was giving birth to my fourth child on the 23rd of December and then bringing him home to meet his three sisters and extended family on Christmas day. What a blessing and huge gift from God.

My husband surprised me and made me a shelf and end table one year. I had no idea he was crafting it and spending so much time making it special for me.

2. It’s difficult to come up with a favorite gift. I cherish the time we spend together. Sure the gifts are nice, but I enjoy getting together with family and friends and spending time laughing and talking. I do have a fond memory of a gift we would give my dad, who is terribly difficult to buy for. We made him giant chocolate chip cookies for several Christmases. I don’t know if he actually liked them or not, but he acted like he did. My brother and I enjoyed making them.
I remembered another one…
In 1995, the year my husband’s mom died just before Thanksgiving was very saddening. I didn’t fell like decorating for Christmas and we hadn’t planned on putting up a tree. A friend of mine came over with a little 3 foot fake tree and a box of gingerbread men she made into ornaments and some little red balls. Her thoughtful gift meant so much to me that I put it up every year since then.
My favorite gift was either my Easy Bake Oven or my chemistry set.
My best christmas gift that I received was last christmas. I called my brother and told him that I did not have money to buy present for his family or even my own son. He came to my house on Christmas day with the most beautiful presents I have ever seen. He gave me a hug and told him that he gave those to us because that it is Christmas all about, giving without expecting anything back.
I want to subscribe to your blog too.
Thanks for the opportunity!!!!!! God Bless U and Ur family!!!!

The most favorite gift I ever received was a hadmade doll from my grandmother. She made the doll (about 8 in tall) completely out of fabric. She then made clothes, shoes, a nightgown, a coat and all the accessories! I still have it and love it!
The best gift I ever received is when I was in the 1st grade, my dad was in prison. I have always loved my daddy. He had given some money to one of the guards and she picked me out this teddy bear. Of course in my naive little mind I thought they had let him out special to go pick it out for me. It was so beautifully wrapped in red paper and a gold bow. I still have that bear to this day.
I have 2 -sorry I could not pick. My husband proposed at Christmas Eve midnight church service 17 yrs ago! My ds was born the week before Christmas-healthy & beautiful!
I met my (then soon to be) hubby a few months before Christmas in 1997 and we actually started dating at our employee Christmas party a few days before Christmas. He truly is the answer to my prayers! Now we share Christmas’s together with our 2 children. :)
I follow on Google Reader and posted on my blog.

My favorite gift was a typewriter and Santa typed me a letter.
I recognized the signature (my dad). It made the letter even more special.

The greatest gift I ever received was finding out I was approved to adopt a little boy named Bobby age 2 after I was tolded by the doctors I would never have a child. We brought him home in late Oct. just in time for Christmas. This was the best Christmas ever!!!
I guess my best Christmas gift was the year my husband bought me a keyboard. I love music.
My most favorite gift I ever gave someone was a scrapbook I made for my mother in law. It took me about 9 months to make and it was worth it when I saw her face and how much she loved it. She cried and cried.

The year Cabbage Patch kids came out, I could not find any, so made three for my children. Honestly, they were so surprised and didn’t care that they weren’t the “real” thing.
Hey,

One year we were very broke and gift giving to extended family was financially difficult. My mom encouraged me to be creative and keep it simple. I went out in our 5 acres and scavenged for small twigs umongst the newly fallen snow. I brought these in and after they dried, I hot-glued them in the shape of a star, attached some ‘missing’ buttons, and used a torn piece of fabric as the hanger. Little did I know how special these would be to those who received them. It has been 10 years now, and I still find them proudly hung from the branches of their Christmas trees.
So I have posted a link on my facebook page… http://www.facebook.com/home.php. Now I will start subscribing. Your blog looks fun and useful. Thanks!!
My favorite Christmas gift that I ever received was last year. My 17 year old son had a portrait of him and his 6 year old sister painted and gave it to me. I’m absolutely crazy about photography and my kids of course. So this was very special to me.
My favorite Christmas gift I received is a pair of diamond earrings from my husband. I had asked for a Crock Pot. He gave me a Crock Pot with the earrings hidden inside. He is so sweet and thoughtful.
The best gift I ever gave was to my mother in law who loved snowmen. I made a whole set of snowmen made out of frosted undecorated glass ornaments. Each snowman represented one of her 7 children. I will never forget the joy on her face, and is a memory I hold dear as she passed away about a year and a half later.
The best gift I ever received was a replacement wedding ring from my husband. We did not have a lot of money when we first married so we had very plain and simple gold bands. One Christmas right before our 8th anniversary, he surprised me at my parents house by getting down on one knee and presented me with a beautiful diamond ring. He knew it didn’t matter to me what my ring looked like, only that we were married. He however, wanted me to have a traditional ring so that everyone knew that I was forever taken and was his. I of course cried, as did my mom and sisters! We will soon be married 16 yrs!
I think the best gift I had my sunday school class (whom I teach is age group under 6 years of age) is I taught the children a song to sing at our Christmas program and at the end of our song the children said “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JESUS” which the whole church was very proud of this group of children…..
My favorite christmas gift wasn’t really a gift at all. Watching my daughter (now repeating with her children) approach the tree full of awe and delight and then touching it as though it would disappear forever. She then slowly opened the tree enjoying each item whether it was hers or not.
My best present was my son and my life.
After being told I would not be able to have any more children (I had two) due to a disease I was diagnosed with. God healed my body and we found out we were expecting our 3rd child! Delivery was rough and they almost lost both of us, but God spared us and here we are almost 9 years ago! Then, we had ANOTHER son! God is good and there is NOTHING too hard for Him!
My favorite Christmas gift was some purses that were left on our door step because my parents couldn’t afford gifts for us that year. My best gifts that I have given our the years that I was able to help others in the same situation.

My favorite Christmas gift was a pony named Jingles. I was about 4 years old. I remember my daddy lifting me up to look out of the window to see a surprise and lifting me up on her back. This is one of my fondest memories of my father before he and my mom divorced.
The best Christmas present I ever received was my kitchen Aid mixer!!!

My favorite gift I gave was a poem to my Mom that said our third child was on the way.
The most precious Christmas gift I ever received was a plane seat home one Christmas Eve. I had been working in a missions school in Oklahoma and had wanted to go home for Christmas. I went to the airport and found that there was over 100 people already on stand by. As I waited in the termanel a man began talking to me and told me that everything would work out fine and God was sending me home for Christmas. I suddenly heard my name called for boarding standby — I was shocked and turned to thank the gentleman — but he had just vanished — I was standing alone by the window. I believe God sent an angel to help me get home.
The best gift I ever gave was a Glock 27. I knew my husband REALLY wanted it but it was expensive. So I saved all of my “spending” money for six months and bought it for him. The range of expressions on his face was priceless! ,When he felt the box, before he even opened it, he thought it might be it, there was hope on his face, and then the reality that we could not afford it, so his expression changed back to normal then when he unwrapped it and saw the box again there was this glimmer of hope and almost disbelief, but then the look of “no, surely not!” When he finally opened it he was so excited and it was fabulous to not only be able to give him something I knew he really wanted but also to suprise him in such an awesome way! I love to give!!

My best gift I give is a photo album of all of our pictures of the year to my mother and mother-in-law. They love getting this for Christmas!
Hi
The greatest present i ever got for christmas was making amends with my dad.
We had grown apart and it had culminated ikn a fight just before christmas eve.
Getting it all out the way and seeing him go on and make a great impact in my childrens lives has been the best gift ever.
Not always materials things that make the difference.
I really think the best Christmas present I got was on Dec 21, 1946 when God birthed me in the care of a carefully selected family.. My favorite material gift was a singer sewing maachine of my very own.
I can’t evaluate which was the best Christmas present I’ve ever given. I guess if I had to pick one,it would be the loaves of sourdough bread. I gave these 2 10 families even after my oven broke and I had to carry them to 2other houses to get them baaked.
Wow, how do you narrow it down to one? The simple joys of Christmases past – as a child enjoying the awe and wonder. Christmas always seemed BIG at our house because there were 6 kids! Even with less than skimpy budgets, that tree always looked overwhelmed with gifts! The precious joys of Christmas present – watching my own children as they now read the account of Jesus’ birth and then dive in to open gifts and enjoy the fun of giving their own gifts. And, the hopes of Christmases future – that proclamation of faith each year will never die – Jesus is the Reason for the Season.
I subscribe through email! Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas!
My kitchen aid mixer was the best Christmas present I have received.
I don’t have a favorite gift except for the simple fact that I was with families and friends celebrating this special day.
My favorite gift was a cookbook made by my mother-in-law of all her best recipes. SHe is a great cook! it had photos of meals together and her cooking with the grandkids. it is a wonderful keepsake and useful cookbook too!
The best Christmas gift I ever received is also one of the saddest days of my life. My dad died suddenly on Christmas Eve and I was devastated. However, through that, I received a deeper relationship with my Heavenly Father…I was a ‘daddy’s girl’ but God taught me that I am still a ‘Daddy’s Girl’….God will use everything in our lives to bring us closer if we let Him.
The best Christmas gift we ever gave was when we helped a family that was living in their car. We gave them Christmas presents and my children, ages 17 and 8, took one of their gifts from under the tree and gave it. They didn’t even know what was in the present.
The best gift I ever GAVE was a scrapbook I made for my husband about his time in the army. It included pictures, memorabilia, photocopies of his awards and certificates, and quotes from letters we exchanged during separations.
My favorite gifts to RECEIVE are anything my children make for me! It’s so corny but very true.
My favorite gift I ever received was an electronic organ when I was 7 years old. The gift of music lasts a lifetime!
In November 2007 There was a knock on our door on Saturday Morning. It was a man inviting us to a local church. Well at this time we did not go to church I was not raised in church never really ever went. We belived in God but not fully. Well this man told me that there church had a bus minstery. So we sent our then 4 year old Elijah on the bus. And when we had our step son he went as well. Well, I started thinking man I need to go see what they are teaching my child down at that church. And see who is teaching him. ( I dont trust many people around my children, but this time God use that ) So on December 2nd 2007 one of the lady’s from the church came and picked me and my then ^
6month old daughter Daija up for church. That day I took Jesus as my savior. That was the the best gift ever. And it is truly the gift that keeps giving. Almost 2 years later and we are fully involved in the church. And now my children growing up in a christian home. Man what a awsome gift!

My favorite Christmas gift was a beautiful cross necklace that my husband surprised me with when we were first married and did not have any money to spare. He had saved up for a long time.
The best Christmas gift would have to be when my parents got us (me and my brother) a trampoline and a 3 wheeler that year. We thought we had won the lottery that year. Well, my father still has that 3 wheeler, his father had given each of his children a lot of money for Christmas that year and my Father and Mother spend it on us.Well not all of it, lol. We had never rec’d such “stuff” before, we didn’t know what to do…. but the love my parents were trying to show us through the gifts will never be forgotten, you could see it in there eyes, to see us so happy. Even though we know its not about stuff its about our Lord Jesus being born that we celebrate….we knew our parents loved us even without all that stuff. It was just something that came to mind when asked the questions.
The best gift we ever gave is a gift that we will receive back.
For Christmas last year, my son gave his Papa a jar filled with questions about when he was growing up and about his faith in God. Papa has been answering the questions every day in a journal that he will then give back to Wyatt. I love some of the answers that he has shared with me, and I can’t wait for Wy to be old enough to receive it, and learn the wisdom that his Papa has to pass on.

My baby brother was the best Christmas gift I ever recieved. I remember watching the original “Frosty the Snowman” and my dad telling me to get my shoes and coat right away. I was mad that I had to miss the show, but elated when mommy came home just days before Christmas with a baby brother named , aptly, Christopher. He blessed my life for 22 years and then took his life in 1999. It’s been ten years and I wish every day that he were here, but I will see him soon enough. Blessings!
My favorite Christmas gift that I received was from my husband our first Christmas that we were married. I received a nativity snow globe that the inside of the base rotates the maji making their way to meet Jesus.
My favorite gifts that I gave was the Christmas that I was 19 and only had $30 to spend for everyone (grandparents included). I made everyone’s gifts. My grandmother passed away a year ago and I received the pillow (cross-stitched) back and now I have it displayed in my livingroom.

When I was about 4 or 5 years old, my 4 sisters and I all got a Locket Liddle Kiddle. Anyone remember those? We all loved them!
The best gift given, was 2 years ago, when I bought all my children (they’re all older – from teen to 20’s) a cross pendant with chain and I anointed with oil and prayed over each one for God’s protection and His hand of mercy on each of my children.
(I also subscribe to your email) Thanks for your generosity! God bless!
My favorite Christmas present was when I was in high school and my Dad bought me a saphire ring even though I really needed a coat instead! Being one of 5 kids we weren’t spoiled very often and this was a precious gift from my wonderful father. I still wear the ring often with fond memories of us picking it out together.

My favorite gift I ever recieved was Michael McLean tapes when I was a teenager. They were the upliftimg messages I needed at the moment. Music speaks clearly to my soul
My favorite Christmas gift was a package of cookies my Grandma sent to me when I was 20 years old and living on my own in up state New York. My grandma had never been really a touchy feely woman but in the card she had written “I Love you and I miss you” that was the real gift my grandma had never before told me she loved me. I called home and asked my mom about it and found out that my grandma had become a Christian.
My best Christmas present I have recieved is a sign from my kids telling me the qualities of a great mom and they told me I had every one of the qualities.
The best Christmas present I ever received was a Madame Alexander doll that I named Sissy. She was a life-sized baby that cried when you tipped her upside down. I was seven years old then and I still have her 32 yrs. later!

My favorite gift ever was my enagement ring. Two days before Christmas, on December 23, my husbanad stood up in front off all of our friends at the store we worked at and asked me to marry him, over the intercomm. It has been 14 years and, while it as been difficult at times, I love him more than ever. And I still have his gift (him!)
My favorite gift every year for the last 6-7 years has been to watch the Joy on our youngest daughters face as she packs presents for a family of her choosing. She started this “out of the blue” when she was 5 or 6 and brought all her pennies and nickles to us and said she wanted to give them to a couple that were saving money for a house. She doesn’t ask for anything for herself for CHRISTmas, but always comes to us and tells us what toys she wants to give away and to whom. Or what she wants to buy for a family she has chosen. Her attitude is very convicting to us as a family and she has changed our outlook on the HOLY-day season!
When I was 11 years old, I went into the GreenStamp store and saw a little doll that was filled with sand. When she was sitting down, she would slowly close her eyes and slowly tilt over until she was totally lying down. I fell in love with that doll, and it was all I could talk about. Well, on Christmas morning, Santa Clause had left her under the tree….for me.
The best gift I ever got for Christmas was shortly after I turned 3 (I have a December birthday). I prayed for a swingset, and that morning after opening all of my other gifts, my parents said it was time to go outside, I followed them around the house, and to my surprise their was a big Jim Dandy swingset. I was happy about the swingset, but what really made an impression on me was that I had prayed for this, and it came. I hadn’t told my parents what I wanted, hadn’t told the Santa at the mall, anything, only God.
The second favorite gift also came that same Christmas. It was a stuffed Panda bear which I still have 37 years later.
I am thankful that after 400 years of God’s silence, He sent his son. The manger is now a humble symbol of God’s presence now revealed through Jesus. My favorite present is not a material item, but His Presen”ce”. God with us. He is returning too!
The best Christmas gift I have ever received was having my whole family together on Christmas day. It was my mother, brother and sisters, my husband and my children. All we did that day was watch movies and eat. But for the first time we didn’t have loads of people coming and going. It was just that, family sharing and remembering how joyful is the gift of love that God had given us for each other.
The best christmas gift I was ever given was a month before christmas when I was reunited with my dad. I was only 5 years old, but that was the best gift I ever received.
The best gift I get every year is still being able to spend Christmas Eve with my Grandmother. She is now 88 and I am 36 as of yesterday. I have never in my life missed a Christmas Eve at her home. It used to be a family tradition with all her children and 13 grandchildren and may great grandchildren. Now I am the only grandchild that still comes every single year and I take my 4 daughters and will continue to do so until my Grandmother is with the Lord.
The best Christmas gift I received when I was about 12. It was a book with pictures and storie about La Alhambra in Spain. I read the stories over and over and dreamed I was one of the princesses leaving in this Moorish castle. I vowed to go and see this place and I did! 20+ years later.
The best Christmas gift I ever recieved was not so much the gift but the way it was given. My husband hid the the gift (earrings) and put little notes with clues on them like a scavenger hunt. Each clue was a poem and it was just so thoughtful that I will never forget it!
My best Christmas gift given was on Christmas day 1994. In February of that year my daughter(16yrs old at that time) was hit by a drunk driver and was in a coma for several weeks. Miraculously she survived her very serious injuries. While at hospital that year I noticed that some patients had no visitors. While my daughter slept and in between times of her outpatient clinic appointments I would visit and encourage patients who had no visitors. That Christmas morning I visited the ward bearing Christmas goodies and gifts which my family and friends had prepared. It was truly a “Joy to the World”moment! There was not a dry eye or an unhappy face. My family and I have been bringing Christmas joy to our public hospital every Christmas morning since that memorable day.
My favorite gift was an apron handmade by my grandmother. It was one she’d made for herself years before…I was so honored that she gave it to me.
I am also a subscriber. My best gift received was a trip to the Holy Land, Israel in Christmas 2007 from my best friend!
My favorite gift has been to see my sibs at Christmas. With five brothers and sisters spread across the globe…unwrapping gifts pale in comparison to seeing one of their faces during the holidays.
My favorite gift ever, was my new husband- in 2001! My husband and I are both missionary kids from Argentina, so we wanted to get married there. We chose December 29th, but because of legal reasons we had to legally get married here in the U.S. first. So, on Dec. 1,2001 we were married in MO (by his dad), and then I left 3 days later to ARgentina, and my husband came 2 weeks later (because he still had school) and we were married in Argentina (by my dad!). It was a very memorable Christmas season. My parents even gave my husband a card as his “christmas gift” with a certificate inside entitling me to him as his wife. ha ha.
The best gift I ever got was probably my digital camera; best I ever gave was a ring to my DH; he treasured it!
My favorite gift is Jesus!
My favorite christmas gift was when I was about 15 and my grandma gave me a rag doll. She told me it was to represent me going from a little girl to become a beautiful young lady. My grandma passed away about 7 years ago and I am 24 years old now and I still have my doll. Everytime I look at my doll I always think of my grndma and the love I have for her. I hope one day whe the Lord blesses me and my husband with a little girl I will pass my doll down to her and let her know about her great grandma and what a wonderful, beautiful woman she was. God Bless you.
I think the best Christmas present I ever got was when I was about 12 and my dad had been overseas for 3 years… He came home on Christmas morning… I remember how excited I was even though we didn’t have any presents at home due to an accident my dad had in Africa and we lost everything pretty much…
This year we (my husband and I) are going out to buy some clothes for a family who lost everything in a fire… We don’t have much but we are blessed with each other, our family, our health and our jobs… If we can bring a smile to another family then I feel this will be the best present ever
The most precious gift I can remeber was in 2007. My 23 year old niece suffered from diabetes from the young age of 6. She went into kidney failure and desparately needed a kidney. Her stepfather was a perfect match and gave her a kidney. The transplant was a great success and has continued to work. As I am writing this, my niece is back in the hospital recovering from another gift, a pancreas. All wonderful Christmastime events.
The best Christmas gift I ever received came from my sister-in-law. She got me a locket with pictures of my boys inside.
The most favorite present I ever received for Christmas is a tie between two gifts. One was a doll that I received when I was 6, my aunt sent to me, I still have her, and it was really neat. The other, was the year we had very little money and a man who came to the restaurant where my mom worked gave each my brother and I ten dollars in quarters in a little ziplock bag and had her put it under the tree. That was the most money I had ever seen, and I still remember how carefully I counted and spent that gift. I was 7.
I subscribed to this blog. Looks great- can’t wait to try some of the crafts I saw!
Hi !
The best gift I ever gaved was giving my heart and my life to Christ 18 years ago at the age of 10.
The best gift I ever received – is Jesus; as an answer to me giving my heart to Him, He came and in and became my Lord and Savior.
:-)
One of the best Christmas gifts I ever received was the huge doll house my father made for me when I was a little girl. It had so many rooms, each with carpeting and windows. It was painted my favorite color, yellow, and was as tall as I was. The best thing about this doll house is my father still has it and this Christmas, after much “remodeling,” it will be given to my daughter. I can’t wait to help her decorate and play.
My favorite Christmas gift memory was the year my parents moved 800 miles away in the spring time, and came home to visit. I knew they were coming and snuck them into my Grandparent’s house as a big surprise for them. The look on Grandma’s face was the best gift ever!
The best Christmas present I have ever given was a drum set to my youngest son who had been asking for one and he was three years old. Now, I know this may sound crazy to some people but he has a God gifted talent for music. He loves anything that has to do with music and he writes his own songs as well. Riley was born with a birth defect and without going into great detail God intervened and touched him. I believe that through this experience as a baby he has a closeness with God and he has a calling on his life so to give this present was helping this calling being fulfilled as planned.
I have received so many wonderful gifts. I suppose the best is the gift of Jesus- and if that isn’t quite the answer you were looking for, my husband and my children have all been awesome gifts!
The best gift I received was Grace towards my daughter and I.
My daughter, Sarah was about 6 at the time and we didn’t have any money and at the announcement of a gift exchange at church for the kids anxiety ran high for me because I knew there was no way I would ever be able to afford a gift for the exchange… and I was a little embarrased because I didn’t know how I ever would tell my daughter that we wouldn’t be able to participate. Knowing our financial situation and being sensitive to my heavy heart a lady quietly walked over and told me not to be afraid to come to the Christmas party, she had a little washer and dryer that she would wrap and bring for my daughter and she told me not to worry about bringing a gift, she knew we were struggling and when her children were young she had also struggled. Prior to the party, I took scrap cloth and some pretty lace off of a pair of Sarah’s socks and hand sewed little clothes to go in that sweet little washer and dryer that Sarah would get.
My daughter was delighted with the little clothes and the little washer and dryer.
I was delighted that my Lord knew my need and met it so lovingly and beautifully.
One of my favorite gifts came from my husband. We had been married for a short time, but the framed quote, “Grow old with me, the bet is yet to be…” was somehow just the right gift at just the right time and always touches my heart when I see it.
My two favorite gifts as a child were Snoopy Pound-A-Ball and My Puppy Puddles

My favorite gift that I have given, is actually one I am going to give to my mom this year. I just bought her a kitchen aid mixer. She has been without a mixer for over a year, and unable to afford one, and I am just thrilled that I could buy her a really nice one. (we are actually going to give it to her as an early present tomorrow, so she will be able to use it for all her holiday baking) I am so excited because I know it will be totally unexpected and will be used a ton!!

Every year my maternal grandmother would hand make an ornament for each grandchild and give us a $2 bill.
One of the best gifts for me is having all my family over for Christmas every year. I love to serve them, and I love to have them come see me all at once. We scrimp and save all year to be able to afford it, but it fills my heart, my husband’s heart, our children’s hearts, our parents, siblings and so on, and we feel it is worth every penny!
hm…my best christmas present had to be my very first bike about 9-10 years ago. i know its been a very long time, but i still remember it like it was yesterday.
The best Christmas present that us as a family gave was we had heard of a family that had a fire in our area and decided not only to make them Christmas dinner but we invited them to come to our Church and we got the Church in on purchasing Christmas for them.
It was an awesome experience.
My favorite Christmas present I recieved was a beautiful doll.
I am subscribe.
Thanks for all the great ideas you provide!
the greatest gifgt i evere received was when my mom passed away ,and my job had ended, the good lord watched after me and i prayed and i received a new job close to my dad and i was able to keep the promise i made to my mom before she died i told her don’t worry i will take care of dad . so it just goes to say our GOD is an AWESOME GOD.He answers our prayers in many ways , my dad is 100% disabled veteran so i am very thankful for the blessing i received.
My favorite gift was one I gave to my aunt and uncle several years back. As they are people who have all they need and moving on in years, I filled backpacks with school supplies and donated them to an orgranization. As my aunt opened a card that explained what we had chosen to do in their name that year, she and I both began to cry. It was the perfect gift to her! Giving to others feels so good!
My best Christmas present ever came in Dec. 1992 when I married my best friend. We were in college. We finished finals on Thursday, were married on Saturday and gone over Christmas. It was the first Christmas I had ever been away from my family. They called to wish the newly weds a wonderful Christmas so I could hear everyone in the background. It was wonderful!
I subscribe via email—The best gift I ever gave along with all my brothers and sisters was a flat screen TV to my parents. They had the excitement of little children on Christmas morning when they received it.

My best Christmas gift was the birth of the fourth daughter on jan 4, 08…a belated Christmas present
posted this on my facebook page!
I just like making gifts to give to people. :) This year me & my 2 daughters are making plasic canvas (air freshener) dolls for the ladies at our church.they’re turning out really great.we’ve made Bible covers,crosses,etc.. just to see their eyes light up & the smiles on my daughters faces is all i need! been looking for the Nativity set & Jesus doll..great giveaway!
I think that my favorite christmas present is being able to spend the holiday with the people that I love. I am so greatful every year when the whole family gets together and spends some time together.
One of the best gifts I ever received was a remote start for my Jeep from my husband. Something that I could use year round. And he’s a mechanic so he installed it for me. :-)
My favorite Christmas was the year our family was able to help a young single Mom who had lost her Mother and adopted her young siblings. She had no idea how she was going to provide a Christmas for her children and siblings. It felt so good to be able to take care of their needs that Christmas. I think that act of helping others was the best present we could have given ourselves too. Our children are now grown and they still love to help others.
My favorite gift was actually a Christmas tree – it was mine and my husband first one and he went out as a suprise and bought me the tree, topper, skirt and all the trimmings.
One of the greatest gifts we ever received for Christmas was my grandson, brady lane, born on December 27th, 1993—-eleven days after my closest friend and aunt betty elaine died—brady lane was as close as we could get to naming him after betty—she was a terrific person and so is brady.
A set of watercolors from my parents, when I was 13. That is all they could afford at the time. So inexpensive but it ment so much to us kids to have something to open :).
I think that I am giving the best gift ever this year. Over the past several weeks, I have been helping put lots of shoeboxes together for Operation Christmas Child, with his help, and sharing with him why we do such things. Today, I nearly cried as I watched my 3 year old son, Parker, snuggle a small stuffed animal and say to it, “Keep someone safe and happy,” then place it in a box. He picked through lots of items we had laying around and put all of his favorite things in the box. I asked him, “who are all of these things for?” His reply was simple, “For another kid who doesn’t have anything.” I think that this year I have given my son the best gift I will ever be able to give. Teaching him and encouraging him to have a generous heart ad a heart that is willing to give, and to give freely, not even withholding the things that he would want for himself.
The most wonderful gift we have ever gotten for Christmas is after trying to have a baby the natural way for almost 7 years God surprised us and we became parents within 24 hours. He used a friend of ours whose husband was a social worker who did home studies for an adoption attorney. Three couple passed up this beautiful healthy baby girl because God meant her for us. We were called about her on Saturday morning and picked her up the Next morning on Sunday from the hospital just barely 2 days old! We named her Amaris which means promised of God and her middle name is Noel because she was our christmas present that year, being born on December 12th! She is going to be 12 this Dec 12th! She such a blessing!
My favorite Christmas gift was an empty box…my friend said she had put all of her love in it. :)
There are eight of us kids, I’m second to the youngest. From Jan. ‘98 to Sept. “99 we lost our mother and two sisters. I’m between the two sisters lost. It was devastating. We didn’t have many pictures and one day I found the perfect pictures of all three of them, a true blessing. I had copies made and framed. This was two Christmas’ later. As each remaining sibling opened thier gift, I watch on their beautiful faces, tears of joy mixed with longing! The joy that filled my heart can never be expressed to the fullness of that day.

I can’t remember a favorite present. The best gift is being blessed by having such a great family to spend Christmas with and knowing the real meaning for celebrating.
The best Christmas gift I received was a trip to El Salvador to see my Grandmother for the 1st time.
My best Christmas ever was that I got a little sister .
My most special and remembered Christmas gift was given to me by my mother.
The year after I was married and she moved out of state, she was thinking of me
every time she worked on my gift. She was crocheting for months. She handmade (crochet)
me a King size bedspread. Not only was it handmade but it had so much detail with each
square made in a different color and a different pattern with never repeating the same pattern.
I still have this blanket today although it has been repaired many times. I feel the love that
she put into it every year I pull it out to place on my bed in the winter. My husband always reminds me
how much my mother loves me because she spent so much time even though she suffered from
Carpal tunnel. I explain to my children that gifts from love are much more appreciated than gifts bought.
They continue to think of ways to make gifts from the heart.
One year my daughter (then only 6) gave my son (who was older but only 9) a rock. With the rock came this note: Brandon here is a special rock I found for you. It is for you to use when you are scared. Always know that the rock is there for you like God is. Pray and hold the rock and know I love you and so does God. It made us all cry. It was so sweet to see them hug on Christmas morning, such joy was brought from the little rock. My son is now 16 and he still has the rock.
Well those are my stories. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
As a young child, my heart’s desire was a Casper the Friendly Ghost . There wasn’t a lot of money and my parents thought it a gift that wouldn’t hold my interest for long or be played with much. As the month went on and my mind didn’t change, they bought him. Christmas morning there he was, under the tree! I still have him. He isn’t white anymore and he is definitely thread bare, but he can always bring a smile to my face as a I remember all the secrets we share.
My daughter, Claire, passed away at nearly 5 month of age, just before her First Christmas, on December 11th. On Christmas Day, my mother gave me a beautiful ornament with her photo on it! It was just what I needed at that time…….and always! It is certainly a cherished treasure and a major part of our tree each year!
My favorite gift was a hot wheels track when I was 9 years old. My mother had newly remarried to a man who adopted me, never had any children of his own. He had no idea what little girls liked so this is what I got. Although I was not so happy with it at first, he and I had a great time bonding, getting to know each others hearts and interests. He is my best friend today and I doubt I will ever forget my hot wheels track :)

I subscribe via e-mail and I really don’t have a favorite Christmas gift, but I do have a memory. When I was younger, my dad was in the navy and when he was out to sea my mom and sisters and I would decorate the tree, listen to our favorite Christmas records and take pictures for him so he could celebrate with us.
I found out I was expecting TWINS!!! December 1999. Favorite gift of all time!!! Thanks!! :)
Definitley the best gift ever was my engagement ring. My hubby proposed to me just a few short days after Christmas =).
One year, on my husband’s side of the family, we decided to only give home made gifts. They were all great, but my father-in-law made a full size picnic table for my 3 daughters for our back yard. I now have 3 more children and we are still enjoying that wonderful Christmas gift!
When i was growing up in South Africa my parents were middle class, both working. My mom would pick out something she wanted us to have and save up all year long. One time we were at my aunts place, her sister, and i saw this beautiful pram and doll and asked who that was for and she said it is for another littler girl. I remember thinking that that is the most bless girl in the whole world. Christmas morning (+/-35 yrs ago) when i opened my gift there was the pram and doll. Words simply cannot express how i felt about that pram and doll. I still remember, vividly, what it looked like ; )
The best gift I recieved was from my daughter when she was three (she’s now almost 13!). It was only a dollar store white baseball cap, but the enthusiasm and love with which she gave it was the best! She robbed her piggy bank and picked it out herself. She even wrapped herself too. She was so proud of it! It sits on my dresser where I see it each morning and it makes me smile each day to know that I am so loved!

My favorite gift was not for Christmas. It was actually a birthday gift. My daughter was placed with us for adoption on my birthday! Such a blessing!
My favourite christmas present is a box full of school supplies when i still 10 years old.Thats the best stuff i ever have :)
and the best present I ever gave is a ring for my sister before she move.
Two years ago my husband was laid off in November. A couple of ladies from our church got together and made a basket filled with all the food needed for a Christmas dinner. They also brought Christmas gifts to give to our two children. It was truly a blessing and the best gift we could have received.
The best Christmas gift I ever recieved was to be with my family again after 5 months in hospital. My eighth pregnancy was a difficult one. I was sent to a major city to reside in a Ronald McDonald House for 5 months to be close to the hospital. The doctors took serious action to my health issues as my previous baby – no 7 botn at 24 weeks, died after a 5 month battle.
I promised my children who ranged from 3-13 years old that I would be home for Christmas, I prayed all the way through, hoping that I could fulfil this promise as it wasn’t certain; it all depended on my and the baby’s health and they had already been through so much before.
The baby made it and he was born on the 18th of December at 38 weeks, but the doctors wanted to keep me in the hodpital for another 2-3 weeks. I pleaded with them to release me and to my surprise they consented to, but only on the promise that I contact my local doctor so he could keep me under his specail care. I got home the eve of Christmas eve and our little baby boy was baptised on Christmas morning.
My Christmas couldn’t have been more joyful, we were all together safe and sound reunited after a long and difficult journey and I think the best gift of Jesus Himself had a great deal to do with it!
My favorite Christmas gift was having all my family together.
the best present ever was when we were adopting and that first Christmas knowing I was a mom even though we were waiting for them I had their little pictures
Stephanie
I received the gift of God’s own Son on Christmas 1985. I was a suicidal teenager, and Jesus answered my cry, “God, if You’re real, please show me!” I did not have a Christian background, but I knew that Jesus Christ whose birth we celebrate on Christmas, walked into my bedroom, gave me a new heart, and transformed my life.
This year my kids and I will be receiving the best Christmas present of all…their Daddy will be coming home from his deployment just in time for Christmas :))…we are beyond thrilled!!!!
The best Christmas present I have gotten is my son, Carter, who was born 3 weeks ago. I know that’s an early present but he has been wanted for over 2 years!! Such a blessing this year!
One of my favorites was a picture book made of pictures cut out of magazines and pasted in a composition book. Not a lot of money that year!

The best gift I ever gave was to my Mum in 2008. I made an apron for her with my 3 son’s hand and footprints on it. She has hung it up in her kitchen. Since that time my 2nd son passed away from cancer in October 2008. We do not have any footprints of his because his feet were too curled up when he died to take a print! She will treasure this gift forever.

The best Christmas gift every year is being surrounded by my family at home and at church, and the love that goes along with that!
The best Christmas present I ever got was a family. I was adopted at the age of 3 and that first year (a couple of months after we came) neither my brother or I had a clue as to what was going on Christmas Morning.

My most memorable gift was a musical instrument I received from my older sister. As a young girl, I desperately wanted to learn to play flute, but my parents didn’t have the money to buy another instrument and told me I’d have to play clarinet because that’s what my older sister had played. My sister wanted me to have the choice she had, so she traded her clarinet in for a flute and wrapped it up for me. I was stunned, and I’ve never forgotten what that kind of a gift felt like.

My mom bought me a cabbage patch doll when I was 4 and made a slew of matching outfits for my dolly and me. I loooooooved it!!!!!
The best Christmas gift I have ever had was spending Christmas with my dad. little did we know it would be the last Christmas he would share with us. He past away three months later. What made it even more special was that he was so happy to find out he would be a grandfather for the first time. He was so happy to see the ultrasound pictures and share in our joy.

The best Christmas present we gave our kids when they were young, was on Christmas day we spent with my sister-in-law and her husband at a Salvation Army Care and Share Centre in Chilliwack, BC preparing a meal and care packages and serving the ones in need. My children now are adults and they still talk about that.
We never had Santa in our home, so for Christmas decorations the girls would use their barbie dolls to make a nativity set for the fireplace mantel and my son would make one out of legos. They were conversation pieces with their friends when they would come over for a visit.

My favorite Christmas present was always the china dolls my parents gave me for several years. I think I collected about five of them, and it was always a joy to see those beautiful dolls under the tree.

My favorite Christmas gift ever was when I was 4 years old. I still remember it. I got a Wetsy Betsy Doll! I did not figure out she wet until much later but mine remained in a state of dehydration as my mom refused to let me give her “liquids”. LOL She had dark curly hair, cupid bow red lips, her eyes opened and shut, and she was just the right size for a little Mama like me to hold in her arms.

When I was about 8 years old I had a dog that was really sick. My mom gave me an option to take her to the vet or get a gift for Christmas. I know to some this would not seem fair but my mom was doing the best she could for 5 children. I chose to have my dog taken care of but when I got up on Christmas morning she did have me a jewery box that I just loved.
The best gift I gave was a handmade quilt, to my dad
My favorite Christmas was when our family spent Christmas together again after being separated for 8 years. That was the best and most memorable Christmas gift EVER.
The Best Christmas present I gave was to my mother in law. I made a 7×7 scrapbook of all her children and families. The first page was of her and her mother. Needless to say she cried and absolutely loved it and treasures it. This is what Christmas is all about giving joy to others.
The best Christmas present I received was —My husband replaced my wedding ring which had been stolen several months earlier.

The best gift I ever received was June 5th, 2000. I was 17 years old and fixing to get married. I was praying Lord let me do whatever it takes to make my marriage last. God gave the best wedding present ever, SALVATION! He saved my soul and forgive me of my sins. Now, I no longer worry about my marriage lasting, my husband and I both, attend church faithfully, and as a family with our beautiful daughter who will be 4 in a couple of weeks. We let God solve our problems, and thank Him everyday for his many wonderful blessings. Our family, our daughter, our church, but most of all we thank Him for saving our souls! I wish this holiday season my family and friends that don’t know the Lord would recieve the greastest gift ever, the gift of SALVATION!
The best gift I remember was clothes for my Barbie dolls that my Mom had made out of scraps from outfits she had also made. The most surprising thing about it, in reflection as I got older, was that I do not know when she even had time to make them because at the time my Father was away with the military, and she was basically a single mom of three kids… I was the oldest at about 9 or so…
