In College we read studies about these types of tests, but they are way more fun to watch. In fact, this is actually the type of position that I want(ed) to pursue……researching cognitive development in children.

Had I not become pregnant myself, I’m sure I’d be off in a lab right now doing the exact same thing, placing marshmallows in front of children, hiding behind a two-way mirror, and seeing how long it takes them to break.

I guess I could do these types of experiments with my own kids, but come on….I already know whats going to happen.

What about you? What would your kids do?

that is so funny! My kids would have eaten the marshmallow before I left the room.

I saw this on another site – it’s too funny. I love how all the kids smell the marshmallow. I’m pretty sure my kids would eat it. I think I’m going to try it out.

I did this with my kids and it was hillarious. My kids are quite a bit older but they spotted the camera right away, even though I hid it. They got up in the cameras face telling me hi, making funny faces and such. It was a complete failure in one sense but totally my kids…lol.
