Okay that title makes sense if you have curly hair.

Because according to the experts,
you’re not supposed to wash curly hair everyday.

Who’duh Thunk-it Right?

(apparently it dries out or something like that)

Instead they say that you should wash it every other day or even every two days.

So for most of my adult-life (since I heard this rule anyway) I’ve tried to refrain from washing my hair every day.

(Now, don’t get grossed out and leave my blog….
I still shower everyday…..I’m clean people.)

Anyway, My hair doesn’t exactly look very pretty come the next day

Especially after tossing and turning all night, and chasing the kids around all day.

If you can imagine like a wild hyena mixed with a lion’s mane…..

Or you know that pretty much sums it up.

Anyway, moving on to why I’m even talking about my crazy hair leftovers….

I found THIS amazing site.

Which teaches you THIS amazing hair-tutorial.

And I thought…you know….why not try this with my Day Old Hair Leftovers, and see if I can’t make something pretty out of this mess.

And here is the result:

I’m totally excited at how it turned out.

I’ve got enough metal holding up my hair to jump start a pickup, but this is something quick, easy…and I actually almost look like an adult with it.

Talk about ten-minute date hair! Look How Pretty with a bow:

(Please note that it took me over 30 photographs to actually get a semi-good shot of the back of my head.

So you know, I’d appreciate some comments here people

*grins*

And that’s not all, I’m making THIS headband next. I love this girls tutorials!

You are sooo funny. I laugh everytime I read one of your posts. It reminded me of a time I was trying to get a good picture of myself on a new camera phone. I must have took 20 pictures at different angles before I was satisfied (sort of). Nice job, You did good. I like it!

I am impressed! It came out great. I have stick straight hair but maybe I’l try this on my daughter! It’s so hard doing stuff to your own hair. I really like it iwth the ribbon.

(the link was wrong–it just took me to her latest post but I found it!)

Sigh, to have the skills. Or the hair that stays up.

Oh my!! I was so excited that I went straight to the bathroom, dug out all my bobby pins and tried it myself. I’m hooked. I am so excited. I usually just throw my hair in a pony tial. Not anymore. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely beautiful!!! You did a really great job!!! I totally know what you mean about not having time to do your hair, let alone anything else! I have curlyhirsomewhat) too, but wash mine every day. Call me anal, but I just canno stand myslef if I don’t! ;-) When mine starts to feel dry, at night (after I wash it) I use a product called Bio Silk on it (a little goes a long way!) – sort-of conditions it overnight and by morning I’m good to go. I also wet mine down every morning before I style (throw it up or braid it or something) – so I usually style of damp. I’m also like you – it takes a bajillion pins to get it to stay – but then that’s the blessing/curse of thick hair! :-)
