Sewing + Education = Must Buy!
All I really did to it was add a fleece backing.
I thought about batting, but that’s just too much work for me.
So I tried to learn how to do a new stitch on my sewing machine
I did okay…..kinda messed up in a few places….
Can you see it?
It’s not fancy, but it’ll make a fantastic Story time blanket
(A lot of our daily school takes place on the couch or the floor.)
I’m all about seizing learning opportunities as they come up….
Now to stop them from bickering over who gets to sit on Africa.
What is the deal with Africa?

…been following your blog for awhile, now. Love your humor and wonderful ideas!!
I need to get that panel. It’s such a great one and has so many uses. It’d be fun to get some small plastic animals and have your kids put the animals on the continent they come from.
And, no I didn’t see the mistakes in your blanket.
Thanks for posting this I have a panel similar that I have had for years now I know what to do with it.
What a great idea, my 4 year old would love something like this for storytime!
That is wonderful!!!
What a great idea! I just went to Joann’s and found it! Thanks for sharing!
I had a panel of that fabric that I used in a quilt. It’s kind of like a
treasure hunt to find your favorite countries on the quilt! :) A full panel
would be a lot better!
