What’s all the Cannoli Hype about?

Oh so here is what I picked from the Sweet Life….which was so crowded, we had to take our goodies home with us.

I must say that I enjoyed the Chocolate Cake about 100% more then the Cannoli.

(I think I just had to pick that because I’ve never had one…..and it seemed so “Classy”)

And the little Truffle was nice, but I think they over-did-it on the Nutmeg or something, cause even Bubba wouldn’t take a second bite of it.

(Trust me, the kid eats EVERYTHING)

I’m not kidding: Onions, Jalapeno Peppers, Oysters………Dirt.

Everything.

(Except Chocolate Truffles)

Anyway, now that I’ve been to the shop and seen all the goodies in person, I’m dying to go back and try the million other sweets they offer.

I can do that because I’ve only gained One Pound this week…..I’m sure I have some room to work with here.

I live in Sicily and cannolies are everywhere. with almonds, pistachios, chocolate sprinkles. The sweet ricotta ones are the best but I wait about two days to eat them. Then the crunchy shell gets softer. They also needs tons of powdered sugar! I would much rather have gelato! Ice cream, only better!

I think I’d gain a million pounds if I lived there, LOL.

I’m definitely not going to give up on cannolies in general, I’m sure there is a kind out there that is just perfect for me.

I got to try some of that gelato too, it was blackberry…..oh my……oh my…that stuff is amazing!
