| Step 1 Cut one of your paper plates in half. These will be the wings. |
| Step 2 Color or paint the wings brown (or whatever color you want) Near the bottom you can make wingtips if desired. (If you do this you'll have scraps to make the feet) |
| Step 3 Color in your Owl face to represent the owl you are making. |
| All Done! Fan out the wings and write in some special facts or a poem about owls. Younger children can glue cotton to the middle to make it fluffy. |
| Step 4 Hold the top of the wings on the center of the second paper plate. Punch a hole through |
| Step 5 Insert a brad through the bottom of the beak of the owl face and through the holes that you punched in the wings and the body. |
| Step 6 If you're making owl feet, color them orange, cut them out like claws and tape them to the bottom of the owls body. |

This is the face template for the Horned Owl Craft. Print on Cardstock for best results. This is great for little hands to practice cutting out because the lines are very thick and forgiving. |
