  • Pom-Pom balls (color of choice)
  • Orange Craft Foam
  • Paper towel tube
  • Egg Carton (one eggs worth)
  • Glue
  • Feathers & Moss (optional)
Step 2
Make sure that your nest can fit inside your
paper towel tube.
Step 4
If you have some moss or some twigs,
glue them to the inside of your nest.
Step 6
Glue the head to the body, and add some
wiggle eyes.  The bigger the eyes the better
as owl babies are extra cute!
All Done!
Cut out an orange beak and glue it to
your owl baby.  Sit the little fella atop his
new home.
Step 1
Cut up your egg carton so that you have one
single little nest for your owl baby.
Glue your nest atop of your "tree."
Step 5
Choose some pom-pom balls for your owl.  
Try and pick a smaller one for the head if
you have it.

more crowded, the
baby great horned
owls stretch and flap
can't fly just yet.
Even if one of them
falls from the tree
and must find its own
shelter on the
ground, the little one
still depends on its
parents' care. There
are many weeks to
go before the young
chicks will be strong
enough to fly away
